Have you guys started a faction with the new unit creation system? I'd like to join if so.

I think I still need an interview to officially join the Gatekeepers. My character is a bit of a spoof and can change the concept if needed.

No to the Unit Creation because the way PGI has it stated it is for mercenaries. We are not Mercenaries, we fight on the Frontier of Liao space as part of the Liao Chang-Cheng or Liao Reserve units. We are a House Unit in service to our House, we are citizens of Capella, not some scum that's Loyalties are bought through C-bills.

This gives you a massive disadvantage in terms of in-game money gathering. RP House service, but be ready to competitively repreZent CCAF when CW hits.

I'm a casual player looking to join a group. I'm not a super leet player, nor do I expect to be. But when I play, I try to play hard and I try to win. I'm not heavy into RP, but I can manage a little of it. I am a Liao loyalist, and have no interest in flying any other faction flag. I'd prefer to be in a permanent Liao group, and would really rather not be merc, just in case somewhere down the line they decide to switch factions.

I have TS and a headset w/mic. I'm not particularly "chatty", but have a pretty strong sense of humor, which I'll probably get more free with the more I get to know your guys. I'm perfectly content to take orders (that make sense-not saying yours won't) and follow group leader/lance leader's instructions. I'm also willing to sacrifice myself if it brings the win to the team, so team victory is more important to me than just me surviving the match. I have enjoyed the few CW matches I've been in, win or lose they have been fun, and I would like to get into CW in a more serious way, but as a solo player, just getting into a CW match at all, is almost a victory in itself.

I currently have more free time to play than I have in months, but in about 3-4 weeks, that might tighten up again, and I'll be playing rather sporadically again. So the future is a bit unknown to me at this point. I'm also running a below min spec pc, so have some fps issues at times, but usually hovers around +/-30. I seem to have more trouble with Mining map than CW drops for some strange reason.

We could be a good fit for you, most of our players play in the evenings EST. Like Gavez11 said: drop into our TS anytime.
