I played Mechwarrior just fine yesterday, but when I tried to log on today to download any weekly patches I can't even get the patcher to pull up. I received an error that said something about the patcher.mwomercs.com couldn't be resolved, so I assumed it a was simple bug and uninstalled it, to redownload it. Unfortunately, I can't download the game now. Why is this?
This is the only problem I have had with MWO, but it is a really irritating one as I now do not even have it on my computer anymore. Is anyone else having this problem?

try using ccleaner for your registry, failing that do the following.
start->run (windows key->r)
type "regedit" (minus quotes) into the run menu, hit enter
using regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\piranha games
delete the piranha games folder tree in regedit, reboot, then try to reinstall MWO and it should work.
let me know how it goes

Also, unless I'm quite mistaken, there wasn't a patch today.

The game was down briefly today for scheduled maintenance.

I wonder if you were trying to run the patcher during the this downtime in which case I expect the patcher would fail to initalize.
since you've already uninstalled you will want to followup with a registry cleaner and complete a nice fresh install

Thanks for the input. Sorry, I got it working and forgot to check back.
I believe it was a issue with our internet. I saw that the site was up, and someone else old me there was no patch. Our internet was a little fickle at the time, so I believe it was something the network and patcher at that moment.
