Was watching an old episode of Bones, had Aaron Paul in it as a guy working at a comic book store...i couldn't stop laughing when he'd come on screen.

Thus it could still defeat him (if they try it and it fails then he is truly invincible).

See here's how it all worked
Walter flips on Jessie and a few others and in exchange for his testimony he's granted amnesty and a pardon, enters witness protection under the alias "Hal" marries a woman named Lois, has kids (because we know how important family is to him), he gets discovered by some hitmen and is relocated to Japan where he meets Godzilla
