Hello fellow mech pilots.

This is mainly aimed at the devs but others may have a similar problem to myself.

I am sure that I am not alone in that my work often takes me away from internet access and I find that I have long periods of time when I cannot play.

I backed the phoenix project and am very happy with the mechs in my hanger and was also happy with the premium time that was included.

My issue is that when I activated the premium time there was no way I was ever going to be able to use all 90 days ( most of the days got wasted) before going back to work where I could not access the internet.

Would it be possible in the future to be able to pause the premium time or if you get 90 days for example have them in packages?

eg

3 x 30 days, 6 x 15 days

I imagine any mil personnel or seafarers (I am ex mil and now work at sea) can empathise with these problems and I am sure there are many other reasons players find that they lose many premium days that they have paid for.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated

PS. I am seriously looking to invest in the clan collection but fear that all the great premium time will get wasted again.

Dave

I agree with you, it would be nice to have time of premium, that gets used as you play, or else it is just wasted, I don't have time to sit and play 24 hours, but I paid for a day, but you don't get a day maybe a few hours if you are lucky. If you want to get PGI's attention though, you will probably have to put this on a ticket, by e-mailing support. I feel your pain!

Signed! It would be really nice to get what you pay for, and actually get to use ALL of what you pay for.

This concept would sell far more premium time. Unless you don't sleep 8 hours per day = wasted, nevermind Work/Eat/Family/Life.

If you pay for premium time that is basically the same as a subscription? Pay for Bonus C-Bills. No thanks, try the one time buy Hero Mechs instead. 50% off days make the most sense.

Premium Time is MW:O's subscription, just like EVE and WoW have a subscription. You think they will let you not-pay for the days you don't log in? Nope. No one can stay logged in constantly, yet lots and lots of people still subscribe. And their subscription is just to LOG IN -- you don't get any bonuses for it.

Here, you don't pay to log in. You just pay for 50% extra C-Bills and 50% extra XP.

This issue is really only with banked Premium Time like you got with Founders and Phoenix, and some will get with the Clan packages. But remember, with those, Premium Time is included as a bonus -- it's free. They could just as easily charge the same price yet not include any Premium Time. Because it's free to begin with, nothing is lost when you cannot log in to use it.

You can buy Premium Time in 1-day chunks by spending MC. Just buy it on days you know you will have lots of time to play, which will limit the amount of "lost time" for Premium Time you actually pay for. It's available under Store > Boosters.

Speaking of Premium Time with the Clan packages -- remember folks, you only have two more days to make a purchase and get the bonus 30 days of Premium Time for the February Monthly Reward.

Buying premium is something of a risk/reward. You risk is how much you'll be able to play for 50% faster progress.

They should just introduce a new 'product' - premium matches. You pay for the bonus to be applied to the next [made up number] of matches you play. Doesn't matter if you play only 1 match per day that way. Also it makes it so they can have both premium and hero bonus in a way that is more convenient for people who can't play as much as they'd like.

Premium time is very valuable to me as I have an erratic work schedule and plenty of things to do with my family that purchasing a 360 day package is what works best for me. I buy $80 bucks worth of Ultimate Game Cards from Gamestop when they have their 20% off sale which gives you $100 bucks in cards. Then I wait till PGI gives the 20% more MC sale around November to get 30,000 MC which will give me enough to use for Hero Mechs or paints or whatever even after getting a 360 day Premium Time Package.

So when you break that down to what it cost for a year it is under $7 a month to carry Premium time year round. That is as much as you will pay for a combo meal at any fast food place. Cut out one fast food trip per month to pay for your 360 day package.
