Very good post, even though I knew most of it I still found a couple things I didnt know.
We should have a sticky on this one, it could save us allot of repeat posts on the subject.

I have one question to the OP though.
Most your post seems to link to some thing or other.

I remember Russ posting something about this somewhere. I'll have to dig it up to put the official on here. I believe they will allow a one time free transfer of an acocunt from the US to EU server. The Founder status is tied to the account, for the lifetime of the account, with all the perks there in, regardless of server location.

What bothers me a bit... aside from not having an actual date for when the Founder's packs will no longer be sold - which is a bit silly on its own - there is one thing. I don't think I've seen any mention of how much of a warning we'll get about the pack sales ending. Somehow right now it feels like it'll just simply vanish without a warning, which would really suck. I'm still very much on the fence given my very limited budget, and am still trying to gather as much info as I can to help me decide. But it'd suck if the packs were suddenly gone making it all moot.

Woot! You sold me. I've been dreaming of this game for years. Orbital drops! WOW. I've already got the 3 27" Acer 3D with 590s sli for my cocket pit view. Joystick check. Just need some rudder pedals. On the building my own POD. Hope the razor joystick actully sells. Seitek has some nice flight sim button setups. Would be nice if headtracking is supported or a pilots free look, indepedent of the torso.

As for a free to play. I'm not worried. Had fun in several other games. I can see starting off with four extra mechs a really good bonus for matches and someone who works in daytime. I've seen the XP/CP boost really help cut the grind in other F2Play games. Someone who want to play with having a few custom build mechs, the money will help. Personally I prefer free to play, then pay per a month. My friends who don't have any money to spend on video games still get to play. Unlike mmos where you have a limted time to get a collectors box, if there a store to buy gear, then a friend who joins later on can if they feel like spend some money and get something to join in with his buddies.

Well having your name in the credits well that's just nice.
