Top huncie people are using AC20 4G's or 9 ML 4P's. Both mechs can easily do well over 700damage a game and get many kills.

I just love all the people complaining about "meta everywhere!" during a medium tournament. What exactly is a meta-Cicada build? The meta-Treb? How many of these whiners are driving around in 'phracts and Highlanders? You pretty much know the answer if they are also complaining about arty/air [spoiler-alert: even reasonably-fast movers don't give two tugs about arty/air].

I hope more people are out there trying out the medium-class, and trying to find workable builds for all the mechs in the range. Maybe people will find something they like besides a Stalker or a Jagerbomb. Cause that's just what this game needs.

Fun compo. The Shadow Hawk is a tough tier. After my first 10 games i'm placed 253 with a score of 1499

Less than $100 in total prizes is a little weak though Piranha. I think prizes ranging from 300 MC to 5000 MC for the top ten players would be within reason.

I think future compo's would benefit from a rule change. A players FIRST 10 games only. This could promote players trying out loads of different mechs instead of doing 200 matches in 1 mech. Doing the compo's monthly would be cool.

Problem is the AC/20 is still not registering all the hits - for me it is actually worse off than SRM are - hence me mounting the AC/2 instead.

I actually have about the same potential damage - and I tend to burn through all my ammo - so it's not a matter of surviving that long either.

I dont use meta or pay any attention to the like. I can score 600+with what i put on a huncback like 4 small and 4 med is cool. I switch it up so much. I also run 6 med pulse alot and it does a ton, i change it so often tho

If you want to top 2300 you basically discard every match where you made less than 4 kills and at least 5 assists. So yea, the more time you spend on playing the better chances you have on getting those games.

pretty much this, if you have only around half that number you'll be sitting on around 1800 in the top 100. more you play the better your chances.

congrats to the top ten who no doubt have somewhere between 4-7 kills in most their matches.

Anyways, I am tired and can only Hunch it out for so long. I'll have to settle with top 50 for tonight... and watch it slide downhill for the next day or so :-)

Might I recomend pgi to stop supporting solo gameplay and incorperate some team gameplay attractions? Honestly I'm sick of having to play alone just to compete and unlock stuff, its sickening encourage some teamplay guys.

I agree so many im working tomorrow only one day off to play. I don't see myself winning with they way they have it setup. Heck In first place if it was yesterday but now im in 24 lol

The Centurion giveaway wasn't solo. But yes it would be nice to add some lance comps and rewards too.
