So i quit after the PPC madness, now when i want to play again i wonder whats good?
So are the PPCs nerfed,do missiles suck and are lasers untouched?
If anyone could tell me about the current balanced then that would be appreciated.

And does anyone know good Stalker 3F builds?

Frontloaded damage is still king, JJs are a plus. Same as it's been for awhile.

SRMs are a figurative dice roll modified by your ping, target ping, server load, lunar phase an the quality of the janitor's breakfast on any given day.

PPC + Ballistics are the most common "FoTM" builds at the moment.

LRMs are dependant an both the quality of your team and of your opponents.

Lasers are lasers, pulse got a little love but still suffer slightly compared to their lighter and more versatile brothers.

Jump jets are still a significant advantage, there are more counters to ECM than when you were last here.

If you left before "Ghost Heat" head over to smurfy's and read up on the thresholds. LRM thresholds in particular are weird.

Sorry, don't know any stalker builds.

LRMs for the contest. Max damage, decent rate of kill-steals, with so many people running mediums solo right now it's not hard to get 3 or 4 kills in a match running LRMs on a medium. I've got 30 tubes on my Centurion and I'm killin' it ;)

A good 3F is just 4 ER LL use advanced zoom, stay as far away as possible. Spam lasers all day.

Large pulse lasers with the module are evil incarnate now. Lower heat, weight and higher DPS than the PPCs.

Actually LPLs have the same tonnage, slightly lower heat than PPCs, virtually identical damage but significantly less range and are DOT instead of pinpoint. If you spend a ton of cbills, GXP and a module slot you can at least not be way gimped on range. Still DOT instead of pinpoint for same tonnage and near identical heat to PPCs.
LPLs still inferior.

Yet PPCs are slow enough to dodge at 400+ meters in a fast mech and also with just 2 slots with LPLS, you can cram more into one section if the hardpoints call for it. Also they go well with medium lasers for a little extra punch.

What's good?

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

Except for clanners, they hear the lamentation of the metal birthing unit.

They still have gene donors. In fact, that's a pretty big deal among the clans.

The 90m minimum range on the PPC is a massive detriment on slow mechs that can't control the engagement range. I would say most assaults and heavies are better off with LPLs unless they can poptart or are decently quick.

Also, PPCs fire a projectile, while LPLs are hitscan, making them much more effective for hitting and legging faster mechs since you don't have to lead them.

So I would say they're equally good.

That depends what your looking for. LRM boat, SRM boat, Laser/Streak, PPC, Laser support. What do you like to play?

So to sum it up, various ways of human reproduction is still good and the weapons balancing of mwo favors front loaded damage. I'm pretty sure hell hasn't frozen either.
