I learned that its best to see how much gameplay you can get out of an MMO before you pay more than 100 bucks. I hated WoW for the 4 months i played it. I loved Rift till i hit the cap ( roughly 100-150 spent on it)
but that only lasted 6 months. STO was awesome till I hit cap, but i still spent roughly 150 on it before it went f2p and began too suck. I played EVE for about 3 years and spent around 800 on it. Second Life was around 4 years give or take and soaked up around 4000 dollars. World of Tanks for around a year and a half and spent 40 bucks on it. Love that game to pieces, but it has gotten stale with repetition, i only login every few weeks now to see if the chinese tanks have finally launched.
Im not trashing any game named above ( except WoW which is pure crap) just saying i can and do spend a fair amount on games, the point of which being im waiting till after beta and launch till i spend any money on this game.
I cant wait to spend money on this game, we need a quality product to wash the bad xbox game off our palets. I truly am excited and cant wait to play this game.


PS: I havent played SWTOR, but ive been following it on their forums for 2 years.

I only got the Elite, since that's what I had been planning from the start. I /might/ upgrade but I'm not sure. I've still got till August to consider that.

Got Elite planned from the Start. But now I can't decide on a mech, I know whatever i pick I will regret it if I can't try them out.

To me the decision to go founder was not based upon any sort of a reward offered, but more so on supporting the developer who was bringing back the Mechwarrior universe, I have been waiting so long!!!
