If 120 bucks gets me only 3 months of Premium, then this game is more Pay to play, then Pay to win.
In other F2P games, all you have to do is buy one thing, or put some sort of cash into the game and you are a paid player for life. That sounds more resonable to me. I don't want to spend 120 bucks on a game... then three months later look like every other F2P player out there.
I mean, 120 Gig SSD for your machine that will last 5-10 years... or three months of a game that has had a ten year ***. (The last game like that was duke Nukem Forever, lol)

Then I saw this, and figured, what the hell, if all the cool kids are doing it...

Russ stated in his Q&A thread that a month of "premium" is more in the likes of 10$. What you get for the 120$ is 3 month premium account (50% more XP and C-Bills), all 4 founders mechs (special livery and a slightly different modell, but standard weapons lay-out), a shiny gold tag under your name and you get mentioned in some credits, oh, and 80$ worth of "gold-currency"

I bought Duke Nukem pre-order too, and was horribly disappointed with it

But I bought the big pack, to show my support for the IP as much as this game. Not sure how the mechwarrior/mechcommander series of games were so populate, and then forgotten.

Remember, their goal is to make this game less about the money, and more about the skill anyways. Sure, a maxed out guy playing for yrs will have advantages over a brand new total newb over time.. but the curve I don't think will be that extreme and the piloting skills & team skills will still be the end all be all.
Just think of all that cash that would have been left on the table if they didnt add the bigger pricing package... Obviously this poll isn't official, but if it's any indication then it was a real good idea to add that bigger level and someone should get a bonus because of it
