I got Elite, I couldn't justify quite paying 120 dollars, I think the Elite package is a nice sweet spot... me and my friends in the 321st will be happy to see everyone out there!

That's brutal. BRUTAL pricing, especially nowadays. I'm not settled anywhere, and I don't have much cash flow. HOWEVER, the $120 deal sounds like a hell of one... until you get to the 'Three-Month access to a preimum account'.

If 120 bucks gets me only 3 months of Premium, then this game is more Pay to play, then Pay to win.
In other F2P games, all you have to do is buy one thing, or put some sort of cash into the game and you are a paid player for life. That sounds more resonable to me. I don't want to spend 120 bucks on a game... then three months later look like every other F2P player out there.

I mean, 120 Gig SSD for your machine that will last 5-10 years... or three months of a game that has had a ten year ***. (The last game like that was duke Nukem Forever, lol)

I want the Legendary, but I wasn't sure if I could really justify $120 for a game I haven't played yet from a company I'm not familiar with.

Then I saw this, and figured, what the hell, if all the cool kids are doing it...

Russ stated in his Q&A thread that a month of "premium" is more in the likes of 10$. What you get for the 120$ is 3 month premium account (50% more XP and C-Bills), all 4 founders mechs (special livery and a slightly different modell, but standard weapons lay-out), a shiny gold tag under your name and you get mentioned in some credits, oh, and 80$ worth of "gold-currency"

I would have gone legendary but there was only $78 on my prepaid. But looking at the side bar now I'm somehow legendary.

I *really* hope I enjoy this game. I've blown $150 now on Tribes Ascension, and the game is awesome. There is however a SERIOUS balance issue in about 75% of the games I play (scores being 0-5, instead of 3-5 or 4-5 or something) and play totally one-sided. Just hope the balance on this one is never an issue like TA.

I bought Duke Nukem pre-order too, and was horribly disappointed with it :)

But I bought the big pack, to show my support for the IP as much as this game. Not sure how the mechwarrior/mechcommander series of games were so populate, and then forgotten.

Elite seems to be better value to me. Having 4 extra mechs for $60 more seems overkill to me expecially when grinding a tree since you won't need more than 2 or even 3 mechs for that.

Going Elite, Legendary just seems disproportinate for the price, Elite seems to offer the best value for money, anyways, they will get enough cash from me when game goes live!!!!

<Starts doing the math> Money Money Money!! :) I'm really glad the made the bigger package available. It will help the game that much better, regardless of "added gaming benefit".

Remember, their goal is to make this game less about the money, and more about the skill anyways. Sure, a maxed out guy playing for yrs will have advantages over a brand new total newb over time.. but the curve I don't think will be that extreme and the piloting skills & team skills will still be the end all be all.

Just think of all that cash that would have been left on the table if they didnt add the bigger pricing package... Obviously this poll isn't official, but if it's any indication then it was a real good idea to add that bigger level and someone should get a bonus because of it :D
