Build that I've been kicking serious tail with that I'd love to share with everyone

XL 325 - 3 Double Heatsinks
1 Large Laser in Torso
1 Med Pulse Laser in arm
4 Steaks Torso - 4 Tons of Ammo

Beagle Active Probe
2 Jump Jets

Mods-
Target Info Gathering
360 Target Retention
Extended Range Streak SRM

Enjoy

Loving the griffin and this seems to be a nice loadout

have to say I'd drop the LL for a PPC (one less DHS and MPL>ML) for more punch at range and a counter to disable another ECM light.

my take on the 3M
GRF-3M

Not quite gonna knock off my SHDs, but has been bloody effective for me. Running a 2.23 KDr so far, not too bad for a PUG mech.

My take on the 3M is "same, but different".

Streaks, but with a STD Engine. This mech somehow really gets survivable :(

I'm running and enjoying a 4x Arty SRM4 with 4 tons ammo + 1LL +2MLs. XL 275, 2 DHS.

I rather like that actually. The lack of long range firepower could be an issue on occasion, but usually the point is to get close anyhow. I might tweak the location of a few things for even higher survivability but all in all, nice take on it.

I elited mine out with four ssrms and two llas. Tried it at first with an xl360 and two mlas instead. Loved the speed, but died to anything that wasn't a light. The two llas and an xl300 I believe made it much better. Still not a mech to get close to brawlers with if you can help it, but very fun and very playable. Had my highest scoring match in the griffin with this build...over 900 I think.

Try it out on a 2D2... it's okay, but a bit underwhelming.

yeah but you are giving up the ballistic on the Shad, and the Shad twists damage so easy I see no reason NOT to use an XL. The Griff does pretty good in that regard too, so IDK if there is any advantage really to the Standard, but since your hardpoint configs are so much more limited on it, it is an interesting take that doesn't terribly limit it's damage potential. The was majority I see run 2 larges over the mediums.... so you lose a little range, but not that much damage, especially since most people don't let you focus your beams in one place for too long.
