So, there have now been a good 2+ weeks of hate spewed over how terrible the new UI is. I have yet to see a single word from the staff on any plans to mitigate any of the huge problems introduced to the Mechlab through this redesign. I know that I've stopped playing as have, as far as I can tell, a while lot of other people. I cannot see myself playing this game again until the Mechlab is made reasonable to use again.
So, will you actually fix any of this stuff? Will there be maybe a temporary option to use the old UI? Anything that might make the game playable?
Or will you just take the money we've already shelled out and let us rot?
Seriously, 53 pages of complaints about the UI and not a peep from the staff.

Why would they say anything ?
Anything they might say would be twisted and taken out of context in 53 new pages of complaints. That wouldn't be very helpful, would it ?
Just be patient, they know the new UI is not well liked and they told us they are preparing serious changes to it even on the day it was released (btw PGI, that was hilarious).

The "peep" from the staff came in Vlog #2 and the recent NGNG Podcast.
The old UI will NEVER EVER come back, so get that out of your head right now.
They are already working on a Smurfy-like interface. Initially, it will be an overall view only, seen after you are finished equipping a 'Mech. Another stage or two down the road they will expand it so that you actually build your 'Mechs like Smurfy.
I don't get all the hate for UI2.0 .. I don't have a problem with it. Then again, if I like two different builds of a variant I actually purchase two of them and each has a different build.
If you're a cheapazz and only have one of each chassis and simply swap everything into that one, I could see you maybe not liking the new UI.
You cheapazzes just need to remember that there will be a Dropship mode where you will be required to bring 4 different chassis in the same weight class (so 4 lights, 4 mediums, etc.) so you won't be able to use one chassis and swap setups like now.
This forum sounds like any Windows forum with the complaints about Windows 8. Change happens folks. Get over it.

My big issues with UI2 have been addressed repeatedly with a plan of action by the devs so... The waiting game. Looking forward to see what they put up next week.

UI2.0 in its present stage of development is a big step back when usability is concerned and should not have been released untill smurphy type interface was released. Still I can understand that devs rushed the release because users were preasuring them to do so.
What I don't understand is why the F'ck didn't they start building the interface with smurphy style in mind in the first place. Those people are professionals and should know something about ergonomics in UI design...
