I believe the way mechs are added is light, medium, heavy, assault.

We just go the excellent Fire Starter light mech (not sure why Russ Bullock called it "controversial" in one interview as the FS is damned good).

With the Project Phoenix and the Saber pack upgrade we got plenty of 55 ton medium mechs.

So, next Tuesday we get another medium. I hope is happens to be a fast, 40 ton medium. We have just the one, the Cicada. Now, it works as a mech, but I won't run it as it is butt ugly. Looks count.

Assassin, or maybe a Clint?

Something tells me it is going to be a Vindicator, though.

I think he said "controversial" because the Firestarter was used canonically to torch civilians or something...
I love the way the Assassin looks, it's always been a favorite of mine. Fingers crossed!

Atlas, Catapult, Hunchback, Jenner was the original four in order IIRC, so after the Firestarter we will probably see an Assault (Mauler should be July, so not the Mauler). I'm hoping for a Zeus, Cyclops, King Crab, or Annihilator, but we'll have to wait and see.

For April I'm hoping for a Black Knight or a Grasshopper. For May I'd be happy with an Assassin (my preferred early ride in MW2:Mercs), though the Clint could be interesting. I'd love an Enfield but there aren't enough variants according to Sarna. I half expect the Panther in June (which would explain why PGI was so firm that the Panther would not be February's mech).

It wont be an Annihilator. At this time those Mechs are Wolfs Dragoons only, although they would be nice to see.
Im hoping for a King Crab or a Zeus myself.

been one of my faves since MW2 Mercs, and one of the better cast minis back in the day.

Would also take the Vulcan though!

Vulcan is a ballistic based mech though and at 40 tons your a little limited in what you can carry.

Assasin would be good, i'd like the next is mech to be the mauler or annihilator but i doubt they will be in any time soon due to meta, banshee would be a cool looking mech.

I'd also happily grab a king crab!

I have never ben a fan of the Assassin cause f its weak weapon load, but your art would have me trying every trick I could think of to make it a good mech!!!

I am aware of the limitations, I am very fond of my FS9H and Ember, which have 5 tons less. In fact, the only knock on the Vulcan is that speed, JJ and hardpoint wise it is too similar to the FS9. Mostly be for the funky look. Which is why the assassin is my preferred still.

Thanks Joseph! Well, in MW2 Mercs, 2 LRM5s and 2 Mlasers did a LOT of hurt. The arc of trajectory plus limited AI, I would kill stalkers all day long. Move to engagement range, then start reverse walking at the same speed the stalkers were coming. The would walk into your LRMs, while you were always walking out of their effective range. And since LRMs were some serious head seekers in MW2, it usually only took 4-5 volleys per Stalker. In TT, I would also just swap the SRM2 for a LRM5. Made me like a much more mobile Valkyrie. (with 3050 tech, well, then I had to get creative, lol)

Bishop's Assassin would be cool, but I am guessing Zeus. Zeus was used by lot's of factions and is old design with loadout variety from standard to exotic even in 3050.

I assumed it was a controversial choice because flamers suck and they were giving us a flamer based mech.

Only issue with grasshoppers is they are energy boats in a game that punishes you for boating lasers.

But I'd buy one for sure.
