(Disclaimer: I'm aware i can't get the x2 basics, its just too damn slow that i can't see it making a huge difference)

The Banshee's Torso Twist Speed is abysmal. Even with full basics unlocked, It cannot twist fast to spread laser damage properly, or even just to take a ballistic in the arm.

All of my Atlai can twist fast enough to track a circling Light with the AC20, but the Banshee can barely track fast enough to keep up with Mediums.

I understand the need to make sure Hero 'Mechs are never more powerful than base variants, but it is way too sluggish, as if the Twist Speed wasn't bad enough, with a STD340 it accelerates and stops half as quick as an Atlas with a STD300.

Can we please get an improvement? I'm not asking for it to be super fast ... Just not so sluggish and slow it can barely even turn aside fast enough for an LRM salvo.

What're others experiences the Banshees maneuverability thus far?

with its very good torso twist range 110 degrees, it can tank a lot of damage, was down to 34 percent armor 1 drop.

I've a screenshot at 7%, Doesn't change the fact that the torso *speed* is too low. Its total twist is amazing ... When you can finally get it there.

DIdn't the patch notes say the hero had a quirk of a slower twist speed?

yes, though it appears that the range of the arc results in a 10% reduction in speed. design quirk but once you master it it should be back up 10 percent!

Ok well im using this build and a XL400, its is quite agile for its size maybe you should upgrade the engine. In the 10 games it took me to fully basc it I didnt die once from a side torso I suggest XL. Unless of course you have to have a AC20 or something. either way try this build if you want, Im really liking it.

Welp, i took your advice and slapped in an XL400. Not using your build though.
2 Medium Lasers (Head+Torso)
2 Large Lasers (LA+RA)
Ultra AC/5
SRM6 1 ton ammo.
17 DHS.

It's doing pretty well.
And, i feel like i should mention that i discovered why its Twist seemed so sluggish. In Arm lock mode (i was using it occasionally to get all my lasers pinpointed) the Torso will move based on Mouse Sensitivity ingame setting and seem to ignore the Mouse Settings. Which for me is 0.1 (ingame slider) as i use a Razor Naga with a rather high sensitivity. Boosting the ingame slider to 1 lets the Torso Twist at normal speed. But makes my arms move like lightning. It's stupid. /sigh. Guess I'll just never Arm Lock and delete the binding i had for the Toggle... :P
