I have done over 1000 damage with, Catp-K2, Jenner, and Shadowhawk 2D2. You can do a lot of damage with anymech, depending on the situation and your ability to capitaliize on it.

I like running a Jaeger (doesn't matter which one) with two Guass Rifles and 2 MLas, and 6 tons of ammo. I regularly get 2-3 kills per match, and well over 500 damage. I have gone as high as 1096 damage recently, so if you are willing to learn how to play with the Guass, you can really dominate.

i run an average 450 dmg per battle on my KTO-20

thats what i wanted to say, you have to find a/the mech who suits your needs in the best way

But somehow i get destroyed too quickly <_< mostly chest , but i dont have much armor cuz of tons :) damn mby thats why.. i dont feel like in heavy mech it feels like med / light xD

I dont know thats weird... Im using the Jagermech with allmost all armors maxed.. ( torso 74 and R torso + L torso 50 ) and i get always destroyed too qucikly like a paper... ( mostly torso destroyed / engine ) i get destroyed by only 1-2 mechs like in 20secs... how is that possible :P and they tank soo much or if getting shot by multiple ppl they still tank etc.. Everyone tanks so much .. Jagermech is heavy... doesnt feel like
Like after a few LRMs for example im critical dmg and almost dead... like what the hell is this heavy mech
EDIT: Ah i get it.. ITs for sniping mostly cant engage at close ranges because of the XL eng...

Damn the R and L torso on Jagermech is so weak!!! I cant even challenge other snipers... They just focus always my torso and do HUGE dmg to it :P

Battlemaster 1D Dakkamaster

Triple AC/2 ruins anyones day, the 4 medium laser gives that 20 punch to melt the armor fast. Core a mech in 5 seconds or less.

If your aim is slightly less true you can just melt the compontents off your enemy, I have enough ammo to allow for this. Some enemies have great fighting skills in damage mitigation, so I just remove what they are nice enough to display! :P

Hands down my most damaging mech, with lots of armor and great speed. Well rounded. I can reccomend!

That is why I avoided purchasing that mech, blackjack as well. Too much glass cannon for my playstyle.

Seriously, if you continuously get focused you might want to fix something in your play style. Like don't wander around in open places, don't peek twice in the exact same spot.

Do try to get into a position in which the enemy doesn't notice you're even there before it's too late for them, or at least wait until there are others from your team with you in the attack so that you're not the only target to focus on.

And twist your torso, it's much harder to shoot off your torso if you don't keep it straight towards the shooter. If your left shoulder has taken hits, twist your right shoulder towards the enemy between your own shots.

Learn to press R and check if there are weakened parts on the enemy mech. This is crucial if you intend to go face to face with an opponent and kill him faster than he kills you.

Jager is one of the easiest mechs to play in the game, because it's very mobile, has great hardpoints for loads of firepower, has decent armor (do move most of the armor to the front side if you already haven't), and the arms are positioned high, making it very easy to peek over ridges so that you can get the shot without revealing most of your mech to the enemy at all.

The easiest way to avoid getting killed is to make sure you're not outnumbered. Stick with the team. Lights are pretty much the only mechs that have any chance of survival while running around solo, and even they are instantly dead if they make 1 bad enough mistake.

And sometimes you just get bad games. Then you try again. ;)

Ok i guess its hard to get into pos. where enemy doesnt notice me instantly.. they actualy notice me everywhere :D
Ok ill try to twist torso but if i turn like right side to them they will still hit the R torso ( which cant take much hits like the L )
I always press R
Yes i have most of armor in the front ( torso 74 , L + R = 50 etc.. max all ) right now im using 3x UAC5 and AMS ( btw what is so good on Ultra AC5 ? What is the difference..) I have 240 ammo which is sometimes not enough.. and i use XL 280 but i need the AMS for the damm LRMs :D
Ok ill try to more stick with team which is my biggest problem i guess ... I like to push a bit and they push too slow and i like to be in action like firing and firing not just waiting
Mby i should try also Brawler and switch roles like playing Sniper then a bit brawler etc..

I find that my SHD-2H(P) with 3x AC/2 or 2xAC/2 1 AC/5 is a good solo pug cbill grinder. I actually am not particularly fond of the build, but the the dps from auto cannons nets me some high damage rounds with more component dest. & assists than usual. Combine this with the cbill boost and I find that my time spent in the mech nets me good money.

Doing tons of damage means not getting noticed by the enemy team, or joining the fight late and shooting off critical components. Either way it's a playstyle more than a particular Mech. That said, in terms of sheer capacity for firepower and ability to carry the guns to where it counts, the Atlas D-DC is excellent. The fourth module slot enables you to carry an artillery plus air strike without gimping yourself, and the ECM gets you and your team mates across the map under the radar. Beware though, the D-DC is by no means easy to pilot, and requires you to purchase 2 other variants so it is an expensive proposition!

I run mine with:

STD 325 Engine
2 x Large Laser
2 x Ultra AC5
3 x Artemis SRM 4
4 tons AC ammo
2 tons SRM ammo
Endo Steel internals
Max armour
1-2 heatsinks in engine slot (forget how many)

Ammo goes in head and legs. 1 ton SRM ammo in the side torso (make sure you fire those launchers to get rid of it fast, shouldnt be a problem, some may prefer it in the arms but I lose those first thanks to.torso twisting)

GL OP!

sometimes too much damage and few kills (or blowing arms off instead of a xl torso) just means you were inaccurate or spread out your damage

good weapons to do this would be streaks/ AC 2's/Lb 10x however srm's are a different story

any more then 1 AC also works well on most mechs (ac 20 still good tho )

Battlemaster 1D is the only mech i can consistently toss up 500+ damage games in....its not horribly slow with my build, not horribly hot, and its a very well armored mech with a standard engine, and a pretty decent ammo load. All it needs is endo, 2ac2's 1 ac5 and cram the rest with mediums, heatsinks, and ammo....Such dakka

Most Jagermechs with mixed ac2's and ac5s can toss up murderous damage if you are allowed to fire. 3 Ua5's with about 210 rounds with some backup lasers and flank+ spank your way to outrageous damage/kills if you are lucky, or they ignore you.

Pretty much anything that can mount multiple ballistics (3 is a sweet spot, almost always 2 ac2s and 1 ac5 personally) with a decent amount of ammo, and backup weapons (a few mediums) in case you run dry can put up some really good numbers.

I'm curious about this build, because I can't mount those weapons with adequate cooling and a standard engine.

I honestly dont want to share...I usually see other battlemaster's using the same setup with XL's or Triple Ac2's and running hot....I dont see too many D's running mine, and want to keep it that way...lol
