After listening to NGNG Podcast 104, regarding their discussion on how Win/Loss is not a great measure of ELO, I couldn't help but think:

How about having a "Solo" and a "Grouped" rating. Two separate ELO ratings, one for PUG life, one for grouped life.

That sounds sensible.

There may never be an accurate way to measure ability -- It might be impossible.

beacause a "grouped rating" is totally meaningless and can be down right misleading. If i group with my 13 year old daughter is different to if i group with my Brother who has been playing as long as me.

It makes a whole lot more sense than lumping it in with your PUG play!

Sorry, but you are probably one of the few with a situation like that. Most group play results in a better w/l.
