So, let me start by saying that UI 2.0 is extremely frustrating right now. I just came back after months of not playing. I had to do a google search just to figure out how to save a mech configuration. I have to hit "checkout" to save my mech? That looks like a MC transaction... The fonts make everything difficult to read. What happened to the paper doll?!
I've been on for 30 minutes trying to get a basic Jenner together just to do a quick training grounds to brush up on my piloting skills. I'm so freaking frustrated that I'm just about to close the game and say forget it. The old UI was VASTLY superior to this joke.
UI 2.0 is EXTREMELY UNINTUITIVE. It's clunky. It's very difficult to navigate quickly. It's not color-blind friendly. There's no way to jump through mechs quickly to dig up my modules so I can re-equip them. The menu on the left is sometimes confusing or misleading. It's just terrible. There's no nice way to put it. I'm sure the forum moderators will want to delete this post, but this is an emotional thing. My post is nasty because I'm that frustrated right now and I think it needs to be understood as such. I can only think of one all-encompassing word to describe this change to the UI:
Garbage.

true, i dindt logged since UI 2.0 and was hoping for a change, nothing happened. I will wait another 2 weeks and see...
PS: Piranha, you should hire new creative team, otherwise youre wasting money
PPS: This is not UI 2.0 but UI -1.0, - one step forward, three steps backwards

To call UI 2.0 garbage is an insult to garbage.

Just takes some time, folks. Hundreds of other players have figured out how to work with it. I'm not saying it's the best thing since sliced bread, but it's what we have to work with. Enjoy the game for what it is right now: big stompy robots.

Agreed. The only thing good that came of this was full-screen. When I saw the photos of the staff celebrating the launch of UI 2.0 all I could think was "Seriously? Did you guys even attempt to use it yourselves first?" I kind of think that all the people in the photos are from neighboring businesses in their building.
Hopefully it doesn't stick. I can easily say my play time has dropped to maybe 20% of what it was pre-2.0, in part because when I think of MWO (the grind, the awful UI, the zero progress toward new content) the "ugh" is a little overwhelming, and I move on to something else.
