I'm thinking of getting a VG278HE (144hz monitor) along with maybe a 770 classified a few weeks later. How much framerate can I expect to get?

My current spec is this. Most maps average around 50-60, except river city which averages around 40.

i5-4670k at 4.5ghz
Nvidia 560 Ti 1gb
8gb (1 stick) ram.

Thoughts?

Note: I'm trying to hit 100+ framerate, which is why I'm curious about the 770. I'll have the money to get it in a few weeks.

More sticks of ram, bump up the power on the GPU with Precision X, turn shadows to low or off, turn off AA and download and run Coder Bag's Core Unpark utility before you do that.

Also if you can afford it wait till later in the year to get the GPU you want.

Unpark utility claims that cpu is already using 100% all cores and MSI Afterburner has a nice overclock for my current card (10fps boost with the overclock). I want to do the upgrade soon as I'm currently making good money. Later in the year I'm not sure what kind of gig I'll be doing. I'm going to get another 8gb stick after the video card upgrade.

I have a EVGA 560TI 2GB and I think it'll be fine, I would get another 8 Gb stick or get rid of your stick and get a 2x4GB Kit (1600MHz+), rest should be fine. if you still want to upgrade GPU, Wait for DX11 to get in (Few days/comeing week hopefully, this month sometime anyway) and hopefully our FPS will get better. just wondering, what is your current OC Settings in Afterburner?

Note the poor memory bandwidth from our current build, which is easily explained by the single-channel memory configuration we are forced to use …

I like to think River City is a hard map, too.

What's your settings?

Core Voltage: 1050
Core Clock: 950
Memory Clock: 2100

I have the Direct CU II 1gb version.

I want to get the 770 because I want to hit the 100+ framerate that the monitor will let me have in 1080p.
The place im working now gives me a decent paycheck every 2 weeks. So my spending is going to be this

1 week from now: The monitor
3 weeks from now: The card
5 weeks from now: another stick of 8gb

Also for those wondering: My settings are all Very High.

Not bad, trying those OC Settings now with my 560TI now. but like I said though, wait for DX11 this month and see how you perform, if 100FPS is your goal, you might be able to make due with something a little less expensive then the 770 and use the money you save on the GPU for something else, so for now I would swap 3 weeks from now for 5 weeks from now, you are getting Playable FPS on all Very High now anyway, I'm sure you can hold out for a bit to possibly save some $$$.

How far do you go with your build? 80-90fps would be decent enough for me. I've yet to experience a monitor over 70fps before.

Thanks for making this thread. After unparking my cores my framerate is perfect.
I still get unconnected though. Strange thing is that i lost 3 matches in a row but i didn't mind since i could play with a decent framerate.

Thanks again.
