Hello everyone. I want to suggest a gamemode where u play a stock mech configurations with some rules and without heat panalties. So all mechs u have is in this mode converts to stock variant and u play it. An axample: u can fire 3 ppc on awesome without heat penalty

It would be interesting to fight in stock 'Mechs, yes. I for one would be interested to see how people cope without their precious customized loadouts.
Granted most would probably choose 'Mechs that already had upgrades like DHS.

Most stock 'Mechs run single heat sinks and would therefore be unusable in PGI's current heat system. Most ammo based 'Mechs would not have enough weight devoted to ammo to ammo to shell a locust. It would be an interesting idea, otherwise.

Addendum - Please, don't shorten 'you' to 'u'. Please?

Just website talk. I agree , it does not fit with grammar, but it works just the same.

I think many players don't like the meta-game playstyle which force players to do a lot of damage, not to help the allies and forgot the main idea of Battletech battles. Look at the Locust and Awesome - thease mechs don't have place in today MWO. At the same time in MW4 4 locusts could win battle against 4 atlases.
Back to the stock and single heatsinks help many mechs to live and operate

Heat system would need to be fixed though. Stock Mechs are NOT meant to be so F-ed up.

Exactly you only have to look closer: when you are at 80-90% heat the heat system works perfectly equally with the TT system.
for example the Awesome is not able to fire its 3 PPCs faster as one salvo per 10second time frame.
Same with all other Mechs (maybe not the oversinked Shadow Hawk - with its 12 SHS he can fire its Medium Laser very often.

That means ACs are very great - > but you hardly have more as 2tons per Gun on those StockMechs - so again perfectly balanced.

I also think to find a good idea how to fix balance issues, heatsystems and much more - its highly important that the devs start to play Stock Only.

And that is where this games heat fails. Sticking to the handwavium 10 second turn ONLY for heat dispersion... that 10 second included everything from both sides of the turn. 10 seconds for BOTH sides to move fire Vent. Our Sinks should be taking about 3 seconds to get rid of a point of heat each. An Awesome should be capable of moving firing 3 PPC and then 3 seconds later firing 2 PPCs so to vent the excess heat from the first salvo, OR push it a little an fire 3 a second time and then fire two. Its how the Mech is Meant to work.

Oh to think of the (non-ritalin induced) crying 10 second wait times would bring...

Isn`t the entire point of a stock mode to have heat be an issue and slow the game down a bit instead of playing Alphawarrior online?

In other words, doesn`t having no heat penalties at all completely negate the purpose of having a stock mech mode?

I`m not saying MWO`S heat system isnt borked, butthose 2 things seem mutually exclusive to me, if I want to run around w/ no heat I`ll play mw4 with the cheats turned on ;)

Am I the only one who read "...and without heat penalties" which leads directly to "...you can fire 3 PPCs on an Awesome without heat penalties"? XD

All mechs that don't have double heat sinks should be upgraded. All ammo levels doubled (even if that means giving endo steel to a mech). However, all weapons, engines and armor should remain the same. This is the only way a stock league would be fun. PGI has messed with the armor values (double armor) and made every mech too hot, even with the limited weapons available to most mechs as they come when you buy them. So, take those two steps, and I think you could have a lot of fun with a stock option.

Another suggestion is require that no more than one mech of any given chassis can be taken. No more than one Atlas or Raven in a drop, for example.

True. But that 10 seconds was way faster than the real time it took to play a turn. It was hand wavuim and should not be the end all time stamp. A rate of fire increase of 2.5 could still cause us some heat problems if the time to vent heat was cut to 3-4 seconds from 10.

Not interested, unless mechs were also reverted to original armor, as it stands almost any mech with ammo would not have enough, because of doubling
