OK for starters i am not impressed with UI 2.0.

I like that i have an inventory and i can mostly sort my mechs by weight as its very helpful, and yes i love the way the ready button is improved when dropping with fiends, though it is still a little hidden. I like that I can set my weapons groups before game. The strip mech function is a good addition.

What I can’t find is useful features in the mech lab. The pitch and yaw data is a nice addition but it seems like the absolute needed data is gone.

Where can I find a listing of what hard points I have and where they are? I can see with a mouse over what is on the mech but other than clicking on each location I cannot seem to find the info.

As I put heat sinks on I have no idea how many I have unless I click through the areas and count them.

In the store I do not even get and mouse over so if I need to buy a mech I am basically buying blind.

The checkout button is deceptive, it should say save and then have a pop-up asking if you want to spend scratch and/or mc.

A carry over form the old UI, WTF do I have to save after every tab, why can I not equip, set weapons groups, change modules, and paint my mech and THEN save the darn thing.

The game looks so very washed out now, in the mech lab my mech looks like SH!t, once in game the colors show well enough so why are they barely displayed in the mech lab.

I am sure there are other items but I cannot seem to think about them right now.

I am sorry for venting but it just gets on my nerves when PGI takes something that is not broken and throws it away only to replace it with something that is either broken or lacking. The game still annoying me a lot but it seems like it’s coming together in many ways, balance will never be fullly achieved but it’s not horrible atm, MM can only be fixed if our community gets bigger. My 20 game losing streaks are still annoying since I never have 20 game winning ones lol.
Anyway…out!

They said they're not finished with the mechlab. In fact the plan is to have another mechlab altogether, basically a copy cat of the Smurfy website mechlab.

For now they're not really improving on what we have as it is all getting replaced anyways. However, the next GUI thing that is coming out is going to be the launch module that is changing how match-making is going to work that limits mechs to 3/3/3/3 mechs of each weight range, and private matches for players who have premium accounts.

So, not next patch, but it is coming.

I really want to buy the new FireStarter, but every time I fire up MWO I think about how bad the MechLab is now and how much of a pain in the arse it would be to configure it, then I give up.

Given up MWO until this promised update arrives. Can't even tell what engines are in my Mechs now.

Got pics? Maybe your in-game brightness or whatever settings are mucked up? My colors show perfectly in the Mech Lab, but in-game, depending on the map, they are washed out by the ambient lighting. Tourmaline Desert and Caustic Valley are particularly bad. I have purchased most of the colors available -- if they were actually washed out in the Mech Lab, PGI would be hearing from me.

UI 2.0 didn't do anything to change the colours. Check your game settings, specifically brightness/contrast which you had probably adjusted and now has been reset.

The next big step in UI 2.0 will be a full page overview showing all locations/slots/etc (view only, not editing) and then later the overview will be interactive

People keep telling me there is a reload button for modules now.... well... I cant find it to save my goddamn life. Am I being trolled?! I totally agree with the heatsink report also I cant stand having to manually hop through each hardpoint of a mech and count my heatsinks. I miss the old UI, only thing I looked forward to in 2.0 was this auto reload garbage I cant find anywhere... what hell.
