I'm currently encountering an issue with the mechs and background being displayed properly when running DX11. DX9 is working with no issues and everything appears as normal. However, when I switch to DX11, the UI front-end (buttons, navigation, social, etc) appears just fine, but the actual render portion with the Mechs and the bay are extremely dark and fuzzy, to the point that there is no real definition, just bright spots from the light sources.

When I launch into the testing grounds, regardless of map, it is the same result. Screenshots to follow.

I attempted different resolutions with various levels of graphics, brightness, and window size, all with the same results as well.

I am working through out of game graphics options currently.

I have a GTX 670 running the latest WHQL drivers, v334.89.

Yep, this worked for me as well. Didn't even think to try that, good catch!

Thanks for the feedback please provide a screenshot if possible and we'll add it to the bug list, glad there is a workaround for now.

Greetings all,

If your wondering what DX version you currently have running you can check using this .

Select the "start" button, in the search box that opens, or from the run command, type "dxdiag" (without the ")

- this stands for DirectX Diagnostic tool
- there are 32bit versions as well as 64bit, but if your in the 32bit window it may show a box to open the 64bit edition.

It will bring up a window, the bottom line on the front page (system tab) will list your current Dx version.

note: the other tab (Display) lets you check your current video drivers version and if there are any problems,
the sound tab for current drivers, and the input for your attached peripherals. (keyboard, mouse, etc.)

If you find you need to upgrade your Dx drivers look here:
http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35

You may have to check your windows update after for additional updates and installs.
- many elements within your graphics are effected by the Dx version, and the ability of your current vid card to display items. The higher the Dx version the better most items within windows and game can be displayed.

Hey Matthew,
I submitted a ticket to support with 2 screenshots, 1 from MechLab and 1 from in game. I can attach them to this post as well if necessary however.

Same problem.

This occurs when either No AA or Post AA is selected in settings. Choosing MSAA will cause everything to render correctly (at a tremendous performance hit).

Support ticket filed.

In all cases (related? Probably not?) my GPU loads to 96% in the mechlab, and thus gets quite hot and loud.

I don't experience this problem... although I suspect you probably should make sure to run the MWO Repair Tool somewhere along the line.

Running a GTX650 for reference with the latest WHQL drivers (334.89).

It might be a good idea to "reset" your settings just in case.

I'm having the same issue with DX11 and the no motion blur setting. I've also had multiple match start d/c. It happens after everyone readies up and it does the little cinematic with the weapons/reactor etc.

I have also encountered some game breaking issues in regards to dx11. I have taken videos of the matches, and are in the process of posting them onto my Youtube account, they will be the latest uploads there
