With this patch in heat vision, particularly with smoke, I have severe fps issues that I did not have pre-patch.

+1 on green smoke. I don't get ant FPS drop though.

I think the FPS drop is unrelated to the smoke. I get intermittent extreme fps drops - even in dx9 - since the patch... Things will be fine, then drop down to 15fps for a couple seconds, then be fine again. That's never happened before (well, not in a very long time, since early beta bugs)

+1 for the green smoke. I do not get any FPS drop, but all environmental smoke, smoke damage on a mech, and smoke from explosions appears neon green for me when using heat vision. The only smoke that doesn't appear neon green in heat vision (or appear at all) is the smoke marker for strikes.

a fix for the green smoke, add this line to your user cfg r_FogShadows = 0
this config should fix the green smoke problem.
culprit looks to be r_FogShadows = 1, disable that line in your cfg and see if that fixes the green fog for you. this cfg below fixed the green fog for me.

Since the March patch I get a completely black screen except for mechs in thermal mode. I know one other person that gets this too. You can't see buildings or houses, but you can see mechs, EVEN IF THEY ARE BEHIND A STRUCTURE. They need to fix this glitch fast because this makes quite the exploit.
My FPS also drops in thermal mode.
