Just wondering if i missed all the threads with people asking for more turrets.

I don't really see the need to have them included, unless the goal is really to take away another tactic from lights/meds and prevent fat teams from having to worry about defense. The game is getting bad enough seeing overweight single meta teams, now this seems to be a move to have even regular assault matches be little more than skirmish matches with "red zones".

It's already been addressed that the bunkers are far too tough, the laser far too accurate, and the lrms far too "magical" in their shorter min range for no reason. So really, when did that turn into "lets add more"?

Plz put your game back in the hands of the players, and not autonomous drones.

The laser turret aim should be adjusted and the turrets should use their own line of sight because it's annoying to trigger them while behind a hill. Besides that, turrets are fine and I say this as light pilot.

I definitely think that there's a need for turrets... just not in the capacity that it is right now. The point of it was to prevent few ninja cappers to cap and not engage. I think that they over did the turrets in its current state. There's far too many, long ranged, and constant missile spam that seems to track you even if you're out of sight. This cause people to turtle up in these games. It is a force multiplier and too much of a tactical advantage.

Maybe reduce the number of turrets and/or shorten the range. If one side is winning overwhelmingly then it wouldn't matter the number of turrets. If it's just a few ninja cappers, then it'll be enough to prevent them to solo cap or deter them long enough for the main force to respond.

I hope they will remove LRM turrets and only allow SRM ones.

I hear no sound when a laser turret hits me so before I realise this I get hurt... I can see the paper doll blink when I take damage from a turret but like I said, usually my ears serve me better to see I get hit.
