AC 20
LRM15
15 DHS
STD 350 engine.
Aside from that you can pretty much copy and paste every atlas build in the books already. There isn't a whole lot to work with..It's just a boars head with 2 less energy hardpoints a bit less armor for a bit more speed.
Though the Ballistic hardpoint does seem to clear obstacles a bit better, or maybe just the head rides lower.

The banshee's seem pretty XL friendly for an Assault mech. Very much like the battlemaster.
Now i've only run it a few times but every time i've gone down to CT.

I plan on trying out how good the XL is. The one thing the banshee has over an atlas is speed, so Wanna try and use as much of that as possible while still being as cool as possible. Due to all the different weapons and weapon ranges I opted for the regular AC5 over the user intensive UAC5.
Stay cool and murder things.

LA MALINCHE
Medium lasers and SRM6 taking over from PPC's at point blank range. It would of course run spectacularly hot.

I dunno. I tend to end my matches looking a lot this:
Apologies for the crap resolution. Its not hosted where i would like it.
3 LLs, AC20, Flamer/Medium laser. Works pretty well. Catch someone out in the open and its a pretty nasty alpha.
Currently trying out 2 LLs, PPC, AC10 and Medium Laser.

In my oppionion one of these special things is his Missileshardpoint with 20 Tubes. So I run my one with a LRM20+A and get some decent results from it.
My loadout
LRM20+A
AK20
3 MedLasers
1 ER Large

Of course you can combine two PPC with one AC10 or 20 but I dont like these "pinpoint-Builds" and his armlasers are very low.

I only have six games in it so far, so my experience is obviously very limited, but so far the LM seems good with this setup. I'm a bit surprised at how fast the center torso seems to become stripped of armor when I play, though, but that may be only me that's not used to the 'Mech yet.
I didn't dare run it with an XL engine, so as you can see I've lost quite a bit of speed. Time will tell if this was the right or wrong decision...
The biggest challenge with this build so far is that I prefer to have only two weapon groups (one for each mouse button), and now I have four - guess I'm getting too old keep track of several things at once...

I love how every mech is DoA two weeks before anyone has even got it mastered.
All mechs are crap with just basics.

I can see me trying the same, I'm not a big fan of the AC10 - even more so now its even slower. Can't wait to get it skilled up though!

I fooled around in Smurfy's can came up with this. How do you guys think it would work? I'm a little concerned about the smallish engine and resulting lack of torso twist speed.

I like this version better: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...677db29c6dccdb9
AC5 frees up weight to upgrade to another ML and a slightly larger engine, with AMS, and you have a better long range fire support build.
XL version offers even more possibilities: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3f8081e941b775e

As a big AK20 fan no option for me ^^
This Mech needs to be at top of the front and no 95t longrange support.
