The advantage this mech has over the others is arm weapons, allowing it to deal with smaller mechs and aim better.
If you really want a buff, have PGI get rid of that over the shoulder missile rack and mount it in the torso.

I purchased it thinking that the speed and twisting would help it's shortcomings.
I discovered while basic-ing it that in today's current game mechanics there is limited time to twist out of the way. I'm no amazing mech jock either particularly when it comes to assaults but this mech has been very difficult to find a niche.
I've been messing with the load out lots trying to find something that can get me up to 500 dmg on average. I usually average 250-300 which isn't terrible.
My thought is to put another missile rack (15 or 20) on the right torso. Then this will be quite the mobile platform.
Also there should be one more energy hard point in an arm.
ECM nor jj's should be on it.
The model itself should have curved in shoulders and I believe the left arm should be like the original concept art. One big round tube.
Everything else we can deal with.

And Jump Jets? I'm on the fence, since the ones that do have JJs listed on Sarna are custom, so, if the Banshees gets JJs, then we need other mechs to get unfilled JJ hardpoints added also.
Such as at least the Thunderbolts (that have the huge backs for their JJs), Commandos (there are later models that have them) and the Oxide too. And I'm sure there are other chassis variants that can be included on this list also (those three named are just off the top of my head).
And I'm fine with more weapon hardpoints on the Malinche, but I'd want to get the Pretty Baby matching hardpoints to the other variants first.

Why buff it? It is a 95 ton walking tank. Many I have seen load up with an LRM 20 and Ultra AC5 ammo to boot. With the energy they throw in Larges in the arms and a tag in the head. Works well I guess.
You mean to say since people can make terrible builds like that, therefore they shouldn't make it less terrible? Step aside and let the adults talk.
I agree, even though I have no intention of buying the hero, the first thing I thought was how it could be so much worse than the standard variants. It should at least be on par with the number of weapons systems or offer something else to balance for it. 1 missile mount is not worth the removal of 2-3 energy/ballistic points. I think they should add one more missile mount, and one more energy OR ballistic to make it less terrible.

Sarna Banshee description:
The result was a mediocre 'Mech which even the lowly Rifleman could beat as long as it prevented the Banshee's mass from coming into play.
The Hegemony soldiered on though, producing five thousand Banshees in a decade before its poor combat performance finally forced them to stop production in 2455 and the Mech was relegated to training and militia units.

So did people think the Banshee was going to be good..?? I don't know what to say.

It was irony, of course.

Well, the BNC-3E is pretty good. If the worst Banshee variant in TT is good, why making a custom hero worst?
