Hi
I played some matches assault and found out that the side that has more mechs can use the base with their turrets as DEFEND POINT.That brings a huge adventage if the other side has less mechs left at a middle of a match. And in worst case both sides do that and no one attack. Its realy annoying if one side has 2 mechs left and the others 3 and fall back to base to let the turrets do the work.In defend mode this turrets woud make much sense because one side has to attack and there woud be no question if they do confront this defense buildings. No waiting till timer runs out or banzai charge. Its a good idea with this turrets, only in the wrong game mode i think

I like the turrets, but I am getting concerned. It wasn't too bad initially, but I see more and more often Assault is turning into Defense.
As you say, they'd be a lot better in an assymetric battle where one side has to attack and the other defend. In this symmetrical game mode, the best play you can make is simply to hole up in your base and use the turrets to provide supporting fire and target saturation. When the best play for both teams is static defense... Games can get a bit boring.
Which is really too bad, because I REALLY LOVE defense missions.

Since PGI stated that they envisioned Attack/Defend as the primary CW mode, maybe the modes we have now are just placeholders to test 'proof of concept'?
