Ok this has come up in the past on a few sites. What if Mechwarrior, Robotech, StarTrek, an Starwars all came together in the technicle area? Would there be Cloaked mechs? Mechs who could transport from one spot to another on the battlefield to take a better shot? Arms of ungoddly destruction like the deathstars planet killer? .
Of course LAM's were around but then taken away.... dang copy infringements.
Any other tech thoughts on this subject?

Santa Claus pilots an Atlas with unlimited Jump Jet burn time, photon torpedos, and a carbonite sprayer.
And he's a Cylon.
Don't be naughty.

LAMs are still around.
Just the images of the original ones aren't allowed anymore (and have since received new art).
Here's the new Stinger LAM:

universe mash-ups are always tricky and don't always play nice with each other

What if the sun were suddenly a cartoon character? What if the Clans all had 3 legs and fought exclusively with laser swords? What if someone posted a random off-topic question in the main game discussion forum?

As long as I get a deflector dish that I can mess with to win any situation I'm cool!

Robotech gives us LAMs, a cool squadro and pilot name, and a less than stellar pop-idol girl friend who effectively makes our pilot happier in his mech.
StarTrek gives us FTL warp drive, anti-matter reactors controlled with dilithium crystals supplying 1,000 times more power, and yes cloaking devices that are only detecable when the leave a neutrino surge trace at warp speed... phasers and quantum torpedoes capable of leveling mountains or unshielded enemies, forcefields and metaphasic shielding, deuterium hulls invulnerable to lasers and an idealist pilot who will destroy his enemy while questioning the meaning of "what it is to be human." If he happens to have pointy ears or a gold painted body you don't need a computer on your mech either.
Starwars makes it smell like gym socks, slow, lumbering, and vulnerable to cute woodland creatures... and makes mandatory a cold grey paint scheme. Light sabers are optional.
Mechwarrior... gives this abomination something to shoot at.
