Due to the spawn points on Alpine, it is usually a king of the hill fight. I had yesterday a different game where the whole fighting happened on the side of the mountain (actually our lance noticed a lonely catapult flanking, which turned out to be a whole lance of 'lonely' mechs). We lost, but it was refreshing. What do you think? Should the spawn points be changed on Alpine?

Well, one thing I noticed last time I played Skirmish is that the spawn points are different than they are in Assault, so you could always try a different game mode.
But personally, I'm quite alright with the way Alpine is now. My strategy works for the current setup, so I'm happy, but that's also just me.

It is the same thing every time on that map for Skirmish, if given the option I would avoid playing Skirmish on Alpine.

I don't mind the spawn points in Conquest mode, but I'm not very happy with the placement of the cap points. They're not far enough apart and result in a shrinkage of the functional size of the map. They should move the cap points further apart, because there is basically one way to fight on that map now.

I liked the old spawn points for how the games played out around the radio tower hill (good shootouts, good fighting retreats, good flanks)...but I can also dig the current "i9 rush" games.
Ida know, I wish games would swap around the start points. I know the points are different in Assault vs Skirmish/Conquest, etc. but I'd prefer the spawn points swap around in the same modes too...

Yes, yes the spawn points should be re-balanced.
Alpine has always had balancing issues. The whole map is a mess honestly. As for Alpine on Assault or Skirmish, it comes down to "king of the hill". The team that can secure that hill first will win about 8 out of 10 times. Problem is, one team spawns way closer to the hill than the other team giving the closer spawning enemy an advantage right from the start.
This map has never been terribly well balanced and I don't think it ever will be. Terra Therma may be hot, large, and have too much distance to cover, but at least it feels better balanced. Alpine just loves to favor one team over another.
