I run full screen windowed and have never had this problem before. Usually - the first time I fire the mouse cursor shows up and a different program is active. I can still only see MWO but no sound and the cursor so no shooting. Have to alt tab out and in again to get the control back. I have tried full screen mode and have the same problem.

So frustrating and only since the latest patch. I stopped playing for ages because of stupid issues that patching creates - now that I was just starting to enjoy it again it looks like I have to put it away.

(1) Try running the repair tool to see if that fixes the issue

(2) Submit a support ticket with a DXDiag and Omicron log attached.

Didn't fix the issue - have submitted a support ticket but not looking forward to the response. Last time I had an issue with the game and submitted a support ticket they made me do multiple ping tests etc - biding time in my opinion and in the end it was the bug where the game was making ridiculous amounts of small packets causing modems to think a DDOS was happening. Can only cross my fingers and hope they do the right thing this time.
