The MarineMechs are participating in a new league, NBT-MWO, where we will be participating in lore-related combat as the Eridani Light Horse.

What's NBT? It's a lore-based league that brings the added complexities of logistics, economics, information gathering, and politics to the mech-smashing action of Mechwarrior Online. We're pleased to announce that our drop commander, 2nd Lieutenant BanditB17 will be acting as the Commanding Officer for the campaign, and will be supported by Sergeant Nelttab in the role of XO during the campaign.

The time we waited so long for has arrived. Long ago, the Light Horse served admirably under General Kerensky in the Star League Defense Force. When that fated moment arrived, and General Kerensky ordered the Exodus, our decision to stay and protect what we could did not diminish the pride, and loyalty we felt as members of the SLDF. Long have we fought among the chaos of the Inner Sphere, a beacon of honor, pride, and strength among the madness. Long have we waited, waited for the descendants of Kerensky to return, and bring back peace, and prosperity to those they left behind.

That day has arrived, but it is a dark day. These "clans", shielding themselves behind their heritage, claiming honor through their ancestors, have betrayed the ideas of General Kerensky, the SLDF, and our own hopes. They do not bring peace, nor prosperity; with the Clans comes no promise of a new Golden Age, only bloodshed, slavery, and a harsh society. They did not inherit Kerensky's ideas, but crave power, blood, and death. The Eridani Light Horse, faithful to the day of the great ideals of the SLDF, loyal still to General Kerensky, cannot, and will not accept these invaders as sharing a common heritage.

And so we say, if it's blood they want, it's blood they shall have. The Eridani Light Horse will show these Clans the true power that comes from a just and loyal cause. We will fight, not only to protect the Inner Sphere, but to protect the ideals of General Kerensky himself, and those that fought with him.

We ride, to protect our home worlds.

We ride, to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

We ride, to uphold the honor and ideals of the SLDF.

The Eridani Light Horse shall ride to war, and victory rides with us.

Last night the MarineMechs competitive team took on SJR in MRBC NA Div A action, and put up a good fight, managing to win 2 matches in a 3-2 SJR victory.

They'll have to work their way up to NA Div A for that to happen
