Me and my friends wanna play MWO together in the office and wonder if there is any way to install the game on multiple machines without the need to download it completely on every machine seperately, which would take hours if not days....

any idea or quick solution?

Copy and move your MWO files to a flash drive or something and then copy it on to other computers, should be located in your C Drive (or whatever your main drive is), For me it's "This PC<Local Disc (C:)<Program Files (x64)<Piranha Games"

I don't think it would be that simple, since you're missing the installation process. Bringing the large .pak files on a portable media would certainly help but i'm not sure if it would work correctly without installing the program.

This method works. I used it when I reinstalled Windows on an SSD. I simply just copied everything to the new hard drive and ran the client. I think it had to do a quick patch but it was far faster than redownloading.

actually, the "install" file is only about 60-odd MB, and is portable.
download that to a portable drive, and install it on the first computer.
then copy the MWO folder from that onto your portable drive too.

on each computer, run the MechWarriorOnlineInstaller.exe, then after it "installs" but before it "patches" (thats where it downloads the approx 3.5GB game) exit the installer, and copy the folder from your portable drive to the new machine.

repeat for each machine

done.

Me and Gwilliy used to do that to avoid the bandwith usage of the patching - one of us would install/patch, while the other installed/did-not-patch, then we would copy the patched game over the unpatched.

Worked (most of the time)

As Lord Letto and Chris Brinzo say, it actually IS as simple as copying the fully updated (patched) game folder (meaning "[X-Drive]/Program Files (x86)/Piranha Games") to a memory stick, then just logging in with the various different user details.

I've gone through several major hardware updates of late, and I've also recruited some friends to play as well, all using the above method.... just copy that folder onto a stick and give it to whomsoever needs the updated game files...
