I recently discovered how nice a new field of view can be, and it's driven me to wonder if I can graphically improve the game in other areas...

specifically I'd like to drastically increase the distance:

1) textures pop/fade in - I despise this and would like to load the textures/details/objects all the way out since this is 2014 and my PC is more than capable of doing it (such as tree details, little signs in a city that fade in, etc)

2) terrain/geometry morphing - I despise have the ground I'm walking over change shape in front of my eyes and would like to load the actual geometry for the whole map, b/c again this is 2014 and I'm not playing on a cell phone

3) cockpit glass - I personally like the cockpit glass, but find that in some mechs it is so faint that it might as well not be there and would like to make it more visible

If anyone knows any engine commands for this I will love you long time.

P.S.

I've tried
r_textureStreaming = 0
e_MaxViewDistSpecLerp = 1
e_MaxViewDistance = 8000
e_ViewDistRationCustom = 100

and I'm thinking of trying
e_TerrainDeformations
e_TerrainNormalMap
e_LodMax
e_LodMin
e_LodMinTtris

except I don't really know what they do, or what value to use (if any), hence my post

Check out this thread here: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__3203020

Use the user.cfg in the spoiler tags of that post, *NOT* the one in the OP. Mr. Vinson is still adjusting things for DX11 and the patch, the one in the first post has some serious issues if you select DX11.

You can't increase the draw distances, but Mr. Vinson's user.cfg will make the game look much better than it does with basic Very High settings.

I used the "user max" file from the archive it led to and cannot tell a single difference from the games normal max settings.... (I compared to the values from in-game very high, and there are only like 10-15 values that have even been changed)

I hope you are wrong about the distances, I find it hard to believe that it's impossible to stop the ground from morphing any farther away than 50 meters

your looking for envupdaterate, 0.001, as well as texturestreaming and some other values.

your game should be set to all = very high, postprocessing to low.

currently the game overrides a lot of stuff to prevent cheating. as these parameters are narrowed down this may change.
