Where have all the good Battletech games gone, OH EA why did you have to kill MPBT:3025, it would have been so much better than this.

I always love those users who complain about how horrible the game is, have 200+ posts... yet still have a recruit tag, which indicates, they have hardly touched the game...

Recruit = Less then 25 matches played. This is a trolling new account from an old grumpy player. Its the only way to explain it.

Account created Oct of 2012, so he has been around. I think I actually recognize the callsign tbh...
Still, someone who still has yet to play through their cadet bonus... and is complaining, has not played enough to make a actual judgement on the game.

Gives you a reason for the match. Gives it more flavour than just a grind to get xp and cbills... It is also what 75%+ of this community is wanting.

Wrong section...perhaps you could head over to the Dev section and read their comments etc instead of being lazy and expecting us to give you our opinion.
But since you seem to think random intarwebz opinions are so valuable, no they haven't. Go away.

As Amsro said it is a troll account, does not matter how long ago it was created, no doubt used for posting only and minimal games are played on it...if ever.

Yeah, sure. Until CW actually arrives. Then the haters will whine about something else incessantly.

Anyone who stopped playing before the final reset still has the recruit tag. Good news for him is it means he gets the cadet bonuses all over again.

- Poptarting is not a valid excuse. I haven't seen one in a month almost.
- 13 stages with more coming.
- Balance is already available for those who are smart enough to think for themselves.
- U.I 2.0 is here and that paves the way for CW.
- No. 4 not a good enough reason? PGI spent a long time adding your "new content" and "balance." They then had to renew their license, and that took a bit of time. Then they got that done, then they still had to satisfy the community complaining. Do you want new content besides CW or CW?
- This is a good BT game. It is still in progress.
- Disagree with No. 6? Leave and make way for the New Players who actually need help and want to play MW:O.

Really? I usually see the commonly, but they usually do very poorly, sometimes even the worst of the team.
However, I agree that a single way to play a game that is easily counterable isn't an excuse.

We, as the community´s totally "drunk and/or high" elders, do NOT know what to tell YOU .
Your request/account/behaviour is too inspecific to garner any real answer.

As it stands last time I played...
Every mech is an omni-mech; meaning you can swap out weapons all you want with no added cost or downside. (Ballistics for ballistics, energy for energy, etc), Which is anti-Battletech to me, sorry every mech made in the Innersphere is designed and built that way, no swapping out a AC10 on a CN9-A for a MG and beef up the CT MLs to a Large laser, and a bigger engine.
That is like taking the M61 out of the F-15 Eagle and putting in a M2HB because it is lighter and putting in a pair of jet engines from the back of a Mig-25, because they make more power and will fit now because it has the weight available.

As far as progression, the poptarting will exist as long as there are jump jets. It took a big hit recently. You now need more jets to get full height (as in 3-4 instead of 1), you can't turn as fast, and they recharge slower. Assault bases now have turrets as a prelude to attack/defend game modes. CW is still in the works, but getting more well defined with every post about it. Maps have been on the same 2 month release schedule for a while (HPG and Crimson Strait are the newest and both really good). Lots of small improvements as well.

Customization is a part of the game (and every MW game afaik) that really needs to be there. Some mechs are just plain terrible in their stock configs. Jagermechs come with tin foil armor and enough ammo to last about 3 minutes. Light mechs are too slow and easy to hit. It's one of the best parts of the game, imo.
