There has been a lot of talking about the LHC in the past years. But the greatest achievement of mankind (bottling a sun) will maybe see the light during our lives thanks to the ITER machine!

things have sadly slowed down to worldwide crisis, but an eta for 2020 is set.

Still a bit big to fit a mech's chest, but at least not gigantic as the LHC!

I doubt WW3 will happen. Nobody wants it, and while America, the EU, Russia, China, and the Middle East aren't exactly friends, we're not exactly at each other's throats either.

...Well, okay, maybe the Middle East is at our throats, but their poorly-trained 3rd-world-country 1980's Russian tech loser armies wouldn't stand a chance in a real fight so even though they have oil they don't count.

As for nuclear fusion, as soon as it becomes widespread I'm going to start a project to convince the army to build mechs. :angry:
