First, if you were not around when the web was created this may not seem important to you. However, I strongly urge you to read and participate in any discussion about this issue.

Look at the following link to find out a little about the web.
http://googleblog.bl...ts-keep-it.html

We all need to work together to keep government and corporate offices from controlling the internet. The following is just a few examples of why.

I started going online and running EBBS's (Electronic Bulletin Board Systems) in the early 80's. A handful of start up networking software designers were building these mini server systems. They Began to charge exorbitant fees for the use of your own equipment. As is the true nature of Americans, many of us did not like this since we had been doing this for some time for free donating our time and resources to the public. So we started developing free software and distributed it across the states. We were in direct competition with some companies you may or may not have heard of ( prodigy, AOL, ect. ).

Ironicly ;) most of us were apposed to the www since it was being presented by a major figure. Then they not only insured us that it would be free for all they also took monumental steps towards making this happen.

So ... Salute! to the creators of the World Wide Web ... and lets please all do are part to keep this a free place to work, PLAY, and Develop.

Feel free to post your ideas and experiences with and about this topic ...

May your Lance never fail ...
