Something odd I noticed...I don't know if I have a corrupted gamefile or what...but when I turn on heat vision all smoke on the maps is the night-vision green. It's on every map, including smoke generated by 'mechs that are down.
I WAS running DX11, and decided the drop in framerate wasn't worth the little extra shiny and switched back to DX9 until they optimize the game for DX11. I cannot confirm if this smoke bug existed BEFORE I switched to DX11 and then back.

I have had it on both my desktop and laptop without ever switching from DX9. It seems to be very common.
I think I saw something about smoke shadows in user.cfg fixing it...

I had a AMD 7970 and didnt have this, traded my card for a Nvidia 770 and now my smoke is green too, and all of this with the same game graphics options and user.cfg file. Coincidence?

I only had green smoke in DX9.
I use a user.cfg for more details and
if you have a user.cfg file, see if you got this line in it and disable it (put ; in front), or remove it:
r_FogShadows = 1
(Thanks to Pada Vinson finding it in the High-end user.cfg thread)

I was seeing green smoke under DX9 as well. I updated my nVidia drivers and it went away. Very odd.
