I know the title needs work. If you have a better suggestion for thread name please provide it so i can ask a moderator to change it.

Sometimes you run into the kind of players you just don't want to play with.
They could be renowned TK'ers, spammers or just those that spout vulgar profanities that sets a bad mood for everybody in the match.
It's at those times i wish i had an unfriends list that allowed me to avoid ending up in matches with them.

Edit: This list could also work so that you can only add a player to this list if you have made a report about him for doing something that goes against the rules of conduct.
This report must have been accepted as valid by a moderator before you can add the name to the list.
This report could be everything from TK'ing, wild profanity, threats of violence in real life. Etc. Etc.
Thanks to Durant Carlyle for reminding me of this.

This list could alert the matchmaker to the fact that we don't want to play with named player.
It could also be adjustable. For example.

- I can be in matches with this player but i don't want to read his comments in the chat log.
- I don't want to be on his team.
- I don't want to play with him under any circumstances.

We should also look into making a single screenshot more informative to the moderators.
I got the following suggestions for that.

-Make names colorcoded in chat. Red = enemy. Blue = teammate.
This will provide more evidence in a single screenshot when someone TK's.

-A clock that shows time in the timezone most beneficial to the moderators along with date.
The year on the date could show as 3050 for the sake of immersion.

-It could also display the mapname. Planet. Coordinates. Whatever enhances the immersion feel.

-When you die this shows up.

If it also showed who did the damage that would provide even more evidence when reporting the TK.
(note the fact that the one who killed me in this screenshot was a normal innocent enemy player who fought honorably)
And if the name of your killer showed in color code here as well that is even better.
This way you can spectate and screenshot from the mech of the teammate that TK'ed you to show his weaponloadout.
Since this weaponloadout will be the same as the one that damaged and killed you in the first screenshot more evidence is provided to the moderator who receives the TK report.

All this in combination with the ingame Clock/date will make it unnecessary for witnesses to be provided in the TK report......
i think so at least.

Note the fact that the Clock/date and map name doesn't need to be big or in a place that clutters up your HUD unnecessarily.
This should make it far easier for those with limited knowledge of computers (like me) to make a report.
It will also benefit children who would no longer have to figure out timezones to make a report of what has happend in the game.

Fewer screenshots with more evidence means more efficiency for the moderators and a more user friendly report system for us.

Your "Unfriends" list is not going to happen.

A Blocked list for social stuff already exists. Maybe make that more powerful, so that you don't see in-match text from Blocked people. (I don't have anyone Blocked, so for all I know, it already does this)

But the possibility exists for "do not drop with X" to be exploited. So ... no go on that.

I'm aware of the possibility of ignoring posts made by a named player here on the forums.
Is there such a list in the game as well?

I'm well aware of the exploit. I just forgot that when writting the post. I was thinking of opening this thread through most of the day at work....but i forgot this.
I'll add it to the original post. Thanks for reminding me.

There is, but you have to friend a player and then block them. . . yeeeah.

The ability to silence an individual who's clearly griefing could be useful, but a lot of times you get a player who's normally an okay guy that's just grumpy, or blowing off steam. Matchmaking exclusions probably shouldn't be meddled with, but that doesn't mean people should be unable to do anything about someone who just decides to blow them away. To quote a support ticket I sent in on one such player -

"If I may make a suggestion - I understand that outright banning a person who clearly spends money on your game is probably not in your best interest, and it's really not in mine either. You could make the penalty to friendly fire both more interesting, lore friendly and more of a penalty by -

1 - Friendly fire incurs a c-bill penalty factoring damage done. Nothing horrific, but enough to get people to not shoot 'through' you.

2 - A bounty system whereby, upon killing a friendly, the damage you've dealt to them increases your bounty by a factor of their damage done to you, as above. If your bounty exceeds a certain value you become a 'yellow' player, and may be killed by either team, as though you were an enemy, for a modest reward. As long as you aren't actively shooting people and/or don't have a titanic bounty, most teams would probably let this go in favor of having a full team, and your bounty will gradually disappear so long as you don't continue blithely murdering teammates.

Them's my thoughts on the matter. Don't boot anyone on my account. Sincerely; ~ no one "

Alternatively, if you're feeling vindictive you could use a flagging approach -
Each time a player team-kills they are given three 'flags', and for each match they go without a team kill they lose a flag. Match everyone with five or more flags together. Hilarious self-perpetuating grief mosh.

Umm...i don't quite know what PGI was thinking when they did this. Even i have a brain capable of figuring out that something is wrong.

Nope. The guy i ran into (i'm ain't saying any names so i ain't doing anything illegal here) is constantly grumpy.
He gets mad and threatens to TK me when i shot him while he is on the enemy team.
He even makes lists of those that kill him so he can TK/hunt them down on a different occasion.

As for the method of putting players with 5 TK flags togheter in a match. Would have been fun to watch such a match.
