With the addition of defense turrets, the standard training ground maps have become obsolete.

I would suggest the following additions:

(1) Add operational defense turrets to the practice maps with full damage registered.

>>> I would only suggest that the Devs take the time to incorporate the following IF and ONLY IF they act upon the other proposal to allow training grounds to be used in groups for group training. Unless that GROUP TRAINING feature is incorporated, individuals may as well drop directly into games and get their experience there. <<<

(2) Add a full lance of NPC defending mechs within the base defense area covered by the turrets. That full lance SHOULD include an Assault, Heavy, Medium and Light.
(3) Allow the NPC training mechs within the base defense area to fire primary weapons (laser or missle) on mechs entering training ground. Use same level of target aquisition and rate of fire as is used for turrets. A real bonus would be to have those defending mechs patrol one of two random 200-300 meter paths to simulate a real base defender.

I believe that the additional features to the training grounds as mentioned above would provide a much more realistic training condition for individuals or teams as applicable.
