Sorry if this is the wrong area to post. I was having a hard time finding an answer and cant really seem to find another, appropriate place Im able to post in yet lol.
My first mech was the Jenner. I had mastered the D and sold it prior to UI2.0. Ive tried other light mechs and dont like them. I want to go back to the Jenner. My question: Will I have to redo all the XP I had earned prior to UI2.0 on them? I am unable to view mech trees for mechs I do not own, so I cant see if I still have all that XP or not.
Thank you.

all mech experience & skills unlocked remain unlocked permanently. The JennerD you owned will still have every skill you bought, as well as any extra XP it may have had earned as well.

Awesome. Thanks for confirming. Just wanted to make sure. Dont think Im going with the D this time, going with the F. Just wont have to worry about buying the others to unlock Elite and such lol.
Thank you again!

I thought you do need to still own 3 basic variants to unlock Elite skilis...?

I tried explaining in detail how all that works here.
I am currently testing whether you need to own all three at once, as I have received mixed reports.
Will add the results of my tests to what I linked to when I find out for sure.

I think I once accidentally sold a Stalker I'd basiced, and then discovered I couldn't Elite the other two Stalkers I owned.
IIRC I had to buy the Stalker back before I could proceed to Elite the other two.

I have had relatively reliable people (such as yourself) tell me that.
I have had relatively reliable people (names are not coming to mind ) tell me the opposite.
That is why I am testing - and will be updating my guide with screenshots from the results.

The only time I've had to buy a variant back in order to get elite on another one is because I missed a basic skill on the one I sold.

I don't have a clue - as I have never sold a chassis without at least finishing the [Elite] skills.
As I do not learn well (IE, I will probably forget this conversation in ~5 minutes) from listening to other people's experiences - either way I would need to test it myself, to know for myself.

It's possible I am mis-remembering the situation. It was at least a year ago. I remember I had to buy a Stalker back though because of some reason to do with levelling the skills of a different Stalker.
Anyway, I appreciate that you'll be able to settle it for us once and for all
