That sounds like he confirmed that its not the Vindicator...

It will be a different 45 ton mech in April.

There just isn't very many 45 ton mechs in this time frame. If they open up the list to inclide some 3052 and 53 designes it opens a couple chassis up but It's still a very small list.

Maybe It's not coming in April because they are releasing a heavy in April?

Well given the trend of the previous two months, there may very well be two in April.

I thought they confirmed that there will be a 45 in April.

Every single one of the Vindicator variants have jump jets. It's just the AA variant has 5 instead of 4 due to the larger engine. ;)

The comparison was done against the BJ-1X which is able to have a 295 XL but sadly does not have jumpjets.

Jumpjets--the definition of viability, in many cases.

Yes, every since the implementation of movement archetypes, it has been a core requirement for viability.

yup yup, whatever 45ton mech decides to say hello! and join the party, I hope it has jump jets. one thing I have as a priority for light and medium mechs is they have jump jets.

A Mech? Already have the Raven and Cataphract. Still waiting for some of the houses to get their REAL iconic mechs. -FedSuns need the Enforcer (much more a "Davion" mech than the Victor, Centurion or Jagermech. Sadly, the Valkyrie is a no go). -FWL needs the Hermes II -DCMS needs the Panther (It and the Dragon are the two most common Kurita Mechs. NOT Spiders and Jenners) -LCAF needs the Zeus. we got so many "house" mechs, but few of the "Iconic" ones.

I'm not sure that we'll ever see the iconic house mechs. The Enforcer only has 2 variants, unless you want to consider the "Daniel", and it is essentially a Centurion with JJs. The Hermes II is just a slow Cicada 3M and the Panther, well, I've got nothing there. As for the Zeus, we already have 2 80 ton mechs so it might be a stretch for adding a 3rd. Though, we've got 3 35 tonners and 3 50 tonners so what do I really know?

This list does not include weights with two or more confirmed and/or ingame mechs

On the IS side we have:

1 100 tonner.
1 95 tonner

1 75 tonner
1 70 tonner

1 40 tonner

1 30 tonner
1 25 tonner

I just hope PGI will work more on these weights first before we add yet another 85/80 ton assault for example.

He said it was not coming in April, so I guess its the Wyvern.

They never said a Medium would be coming April. In regards to April we have not idea what the Weight Category will be other then that April/May aren't following the standard pattern.
