Diass, sight of a previous Smoke Adder incursion lay dusty and trampled under the feet of this newest incursion. As Dropships disgorged fiery meteorites of man-made ferrocrete and fusion engine, Mechwarriors landed in a foreign land with no knowledge of the trials they would face.

Moving to designated fighting positions, they heard the ominous words over their communications earpieces before they went dark with countermeasuring jamming to prevent them from communicating:

"Fangs out Adders.....You are weapons free!"

Tonight over the course of 5 synch drops, we conducted Trials of Position for twelve members successfully (several could not make it). Not even 96 hours until planet fall and the next series of Trials begin. Already, 27 pilots are attending as either candidates for the Trials of Position, as spectators or as honored competitors in the duels.

With the permission and IFF codes transmitted from the surface of the Hells Horses world of Niles finally received, the bullet-shaped ends "tops" of the Unijar and Mogoi rushed towards the planet with quite a few hours remaining before atmospheric entry. Once they hit the hard atmosphere, they would allow their mildly aerodynamic designs to bring them inside the planetary seam, before flipping end over end before reaching true gravity and placing its powerful thrusters "deck-down" to bring it into a glorified controlled fall towards the surface.

Landing in red-dust plans well away from the Clan Hells Horses population centers, Mechs would immediately begin to disembark while the Dropships would take the unusual step of damping down and going "cold" with their incredible fusion drives, to ensure the CHH forces on planet they were in fact there for an approved Trial of Position, and not secretly landing a raid force in some kind of dishonorable attack. With their drives disabled and gone cold, the Dropships would be under powered and largely incapable of offensive action, which would be confirmed by CHH satellites and aerospace fights who would keep a respectful distance, but a careful eye on the Adders.

A special cadre of anonymous Blood Officers would emerge from the hulls of Unijar, with training cadre and candidates known as Snakes emerging several kilometers away from the downed Mogoi.

From there, the battles would commence, one at a time, over an area of dozens of kilometers, each warrior stalking their prey and emerging Blooded and victorious, or victims themselves.

As the smoke settled on the red dust of the plains outside of Niles' lone spaceport, thirty bedraggled warriors trundled their broken and beaten Mechs into the dropships Unijar and Mogoi to receive immediate attention from Technicians and other support castes.

Eight candidates from the two sibko's managed to survive their Trials, with two earning Blooded Warrior status. Six would live to fight another day. None had earned higher ranking, but all had bloodied their fangs and spit venom in the eyes of their opponents, with honor afforded each.

With thirty two trials of position conducted (and people say synch dropping is too problematic, hah!), Theta Galaxy is now beginning Blood Officer trials to determine who among our number will become the next generation of anonymous gatekeepers our Snakes must face in future Trials!

Hello! Just want to give you guys an invite to a league we have created:

With the advent of private lobbies we will have the opportunity to play 1vs1, 4vs4, 8vs8, and 12vs12.
We have created traditional ladder leagues to give everyone a chance to play opponents around their same skill level and be the best that they can be.
