In his description of Public Matches Bryan says:

A Mercenary player with no allegiance via the contract system will be placed in a random alliance bucket. Players with an allegiance will be place in their appropriate faction alliance bucket along with any other faction players.

I have a question: how will matchmaker treat a 2-4 man premade consisting of players with different allegiance (not a mix of loyalists and lonewolfs/mercs, but a mix of loyalists of different factions)? Will it just take allegiance of a group leader in consideration, or what? If yes, will players with allegiance different from that of the group leader lose loyalty points for playing on enemy side?

For example, we have a premade lance of four mechwarriors from DCMS, AFFS, LCAF and FWLM. DCMS warrior holds group command. In which alliance bucket can matchmaker place them and what will happen with their loyalty points for playing like this? Will it be possible at all to create such a lance? And what if we add Clans into mix?

I would guess that the groupleader would determine the alliance bucket you play in.
And Bryan definately said that you can not lose loyality points, you just wouldn´t make any.
