I got 5 kills in my small laser medium a few days ago with barely 500 dmg. When I had 750dmg I had 7 kills.
I even did 6 kills in a small laser jenner. 4/5 in my cent with 450 dmg. So either lrms are still bad or Small
lasers need a HUGE nerf.

That's a decent accuracy improvement over pre-patch expected values (mine were around 25-35%).

And; yeah yeah, we can all brag about our insane performances. LRMs aren't about showing off, they're about breaking up formations and punishing too slow to dodge and too dumb to keep their heads down.

Direct fire at close range...kinda takes the "L" out of LRM but that's how I make them work. I do like Carrioncrows idea of restricting indirect LRM fire unless the target is TAG'd, NARC'd or UAV'd. Would help tremendously with role warfare and wouldn't really affect my style since I don't indirect fire that much.

I went 9/5 in the hour or so I played so far on the new patch. Average damage was about 580 per match with 1 kill each game. Not the best but not the worst either...

So you're talking LRMishing ranges of 180-350m with direct LOS and hopefully Artemis too?

Good thing I'm working on that tactic with quite fun effects.

Yup...you basically brawl with LRMs. People can't complain about that because I'm right in the mix with my brawlers, without the benefit of torso twisting (well, maybe a little bit now with the speed boost). Also, if I kill you from that range, know that an 2xPPC/AC jumpsniper would have done you in much faster from behind a rock (not you specifically, per se).

My lrm10+ arty was at 41.21%

I don't doubt you will break 1000dmg with them, people did it before and they will do it now. People break 1000dmg in a locust. With my current stats my ML's are sitting at 95%. To me that just seems a whole lot more useful than LRMS at below 50. Even more so when you consider that with the ML's you can decide exactly where you want that damage. I agree they got a little buff but, it didn't move the lrm's out of the place they sat before the patch.

That still doesn't matter much if they have 3 toothpicks left walking around when you could have cored them outright using a useful weapon.

I did that to a VTR DS today in the only match I could run. I was boating 40LRMs in my Orion 'Pain Train'. But I do still love to lob and watch em scream and dive for cover.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to get to play with the new toys for possibly a few more weeks (if lucky) because thanks to the new graphics requirements, I can't play with an FPS of 5-10 (which is what I was running at that match) So I consider a 3 kill 380dmg match an outstanding game under those circumstances. Now to get a new computer... I hope.

What're your current specs? Mine hit rock bottom and started digging and I can still scrape 15-20 out of this mess. Mind, I have to run in DX9 to do that.

It's a Toshiba Satellite Laptop (non-upgradable... yeah I screwed up)
AMD A6 4400M APU (not even supposed to be able to run this game)
6GB RAM
Radeon HD 7520 512MB

I run at full screen, lowest settings DX9 and 1280x800

I just realized that I might do better matching the pixel size to squeeze an extra 1-2 FPS, but I doubt it and may the Lord protect me if I get Frozen City, because that reduces my FPS by half right away. I also use either Razer Game Booster which used to help... or IOBit game booster depending. Again, they don't seem to help anymore.

Ouch. Yeah, laptops aren't generally good for gaming. Even the so-called "gaming laptops" with discrete GPUs tend to run far too hot (ever seen a desk catch fire because the laptop sitting on it had a bad heatsink and was in critical meltdown mode? I have!).

In your case, your "dual core" processor isn't actually dual core, and what passes for a GPU wouldn't have been terribly impressive seven years ago, let alone today.

These days, I'd start with an Asus Z87-A wrapped around an i5-4670K, 8gb Crucial RAM and a GTX 760; season to taste. That'll get you a solid and reasonably future-proof gaming rig for about a grand, depending on how big you want the monitor and how glowy you want the case.

That 39% isn't your old archived stats...that's from last night. Or it's your stats after they split off Artemis from regular LRMs (which was only for a short period of time).

If that was your archived Artemis LRM15 stats, what were your regular LRM15 archived numbers looking like?
