most important whine ever.

shouldn't those chocolate catapult cockpit items we got for the easter event start to melt if your mech overheats?

If it did, I'm totally putting it on an urbie. The urbie already has enough stains in its cockpit, what's one more to add to the mess? XD

Remember the speed indicator on it. Slow -> Less Slow!

Also, my whine of the day:

I have a new mech to hate on, other than the Locust.

It's the Linebacker. A fatmech that wants to be a light - and can actually catch up. Utterly despise these stupid abominations with a passion. Probably worse than a Locust, since a Locust you can actually drop with a few well-placed shots. These? They have the durability expected of a heavy, the speed of a light, and quite a powerful short-range punch if they catch up. Utterly disgusting.

I've never had such an overwhelming urge to teamkill a player before today.

Had this utter idiot in a CDA-2M on Bravo lance today. I'm in Alpha as usual, got 2 LPLs on my KFX-C. I have 721m range on these things, I can snipe.

Proceed to move into position. CDA-2M follows me. I think, okay, maybe he's after the same thing. So I get into position. Line up a perfect back shot on an unsuspecting stationary RVN-3L covering a fatty on the other team, about to fire a killshot--

Idiot steps into my line of fire to fire his medium lasers at a target 650m away. I'm forced to flick my weapons away to avoid smacking his rear CT with 26 points of damage. First time it was into the ground. Second time it was into the sky. Yes, that's right; this imbecile did it not once, but TWICE. Firing a bright blue laser into the sky attracts all sorts of unwanted attention - like the presence of an ACH that was completely unaware of us up till that point.

Okay. So he was stupid up until that point. So I thought that he might at least be brave enough to fight the ACH with me; it's 2v1 after all. Nope! He turns tail and flees at the sight of a 6 ERSL cheetah. Leaving me to duke it out with the ACH because I'm much, MUCH slower than he is, and can't escape. Spend one coolshot to win the fight against the ACH, leaving me with orange armor over all parts of my mech.

By this time, the main fight was already happening. I see that the CDA has gone back to the team, leaving me alone. This is fine; I can see that the rest of the enemy team is too busy fighting the front to check what I'm doing. I move to the back of their lines, murder a couple of unsuspecting LRM boats. Get spotted by a UAC jager and a SRM Centurion, and had to run back to my team.

So I got to my team with bright red armor all over, and a bright red internals on RT + RA, as one might expect from running a gauntlet of enemy fire. Find the nearest cover, back up into it, only to hear the dreaded metallic clonk of a mech colliding with a mech. This was a piece of cover that had no mech in it 5 seconds ago, while I was busy torso twisting. I immediately stop, and eat another volley of SRM + AC fire, destroying my RA, RT and putting my CT on yellow struct. And guess who was taking up the cover that I was running into?

Yep. That same CDA that left me for dead earlier, and blocked two killshots. He backs off after I fire a warning shot at a piece of wall over his head, and that lets me get into cover.

Okay. So maybe, I thought, just maybe, I can salvage this match. It was 4v6 at this point, and most of the enemy team was damaged. The CDA is still fresh - he's on 95% at this point, and my KFX was on 36%. I still have my weapons, and a coolshot remaining. Enemy team is pushing, we have one assault holding position, versus 3 of their damaged heavies coming up a chokepoint.

Guess what the CDA does? That's right, you guessed correctly - he fled. He ran away like the coward he is. I stand and fight by the assault. We kill all 3 of their heavies, at the cost of all of the assault's weapons and my right leg. CDA comes back after the fight, still at the same health % as he was before the fight.

So the remainder of the enemy team comes along. 2 ACHs and a centurion. For the first time in the match, the CDA fired his weapons at the enemy - straight through my rear CT. Teamkilled.

I spent the next four matches hunting down the CDA pilot and slowly dismembering his mech on the enemy team.

Though I should add, our team scattered across the map (during a Domination match no less) My only advise was to stick with the group which became useless when our team ran in 12 different direction once the shooting started. Hopefully he learned more from he enemy team's push.

When your whole team move no more than 300 metres from their drop zones to converge on one spot and then literally stand there for the rest of the match (which wasn't long) getting lurmed and shot to **** and they do nothing about it but try and poke back at the enemy firing line.

At first I thought ok I'm in a purifier with ECM and 3xAMS I'll provide some cover but the AMS runs dry in seconds as the enemy can accurately dumb fire (and land a full volley) of lurms as our team is so static.

I almost felt sorry for the matchmaker.

A dual LRM 20 Atlas, who was the last alive on the team, was saying it was the team's fault for losing. Even asking if he could really say he did well, it was still "weak team", "team fail", and "bad team" from him (that was before my "You have the nerve to say that comment").
https://steamuserima...15E1DA4E3EB4C1/

I will admit I didn't do great that match. However, I was holding the basement by myself, against an Atlas, Rifleman, and an Nova, with the Maruader IIC and Grasshopper peaking me from the ramp entrance, to buy time for my team to advance into the HPG area (most of my team had yet to enter through the gate). I was in a generic 2 ERPPC + 2 SRM6 Linebacker Prime.

That's the sort of thing that makes me get frustrated enough to shout in anger in MWO; an overconfident LRM Atlas pilot who can't be blamed for everything.

I just wonder what the hell these people are on to think that they are so damn great.

Arctic Cheetah.

That is all. Carry on.

Sincerely, **** people like this. And you know what? He has the gall to take company command, and order us to play passively. Look how far he is from the nearest teammate. That's like 800 meters, considering that each square is IIRC around 600 meters^2 each.

He didn't have the courtesy to go down fighting, he just dragged the god damn match. He didn't even died, he just ran away and stayed until the base was capped when he was the last one that's left.

Haven't met an obnoxious drop caller in some time. This guy starts off by directing everyone and whoever disobeys is a fail pilot, especially alpha lance. Me and another light soloed 2 assaults from full hp. Guy died with 137 damage using a heavy... And just keeps raging during and after the game about how we are so bad etc. LMAO

Sweet J.... Now I'm not one of these people that would rather sell their first born, than use Lurms, but bloody hell there are just some mechs you don't put LRM's on.

Seriously have all the even half decent players just up and left. The matches for the last three days have been utter ****!

Three days of either turret warrior, or run of solo in random directions and hide. Why am I 9/10 times on the stomped team and you can tell it's a loss just three minutes in.

I think the crap matchmaker really does struggle with such passive narrow minded players.

He has 1 C-Med Pulse Laser with 333m range, plenty of firepower for an assault (or heavy? Know nothing about Clan Mechs).

Some of those even have more than 10 or 15 points of armor on the back. You can still slay them with a light, but it takes longer so you have to be sure their are no other enemys nearby, at least such as are aware of the minimap (yes, they do exist),
In such situations i prefer the "Pros" with less than 10 points back armor.

Greetings

Or the lighter mechs completely ignore the 3 lights circling their assault.
