Story 1
Had someone on voip lose their **** completely on VOIP, calling the whole team ******** for letting the other team base cap us like a bunch of dorks. While we were incrediby, hilariously, impossibly stupid for letting that happen, I proceeded to let him know that his tears are delicious, after which he proceeded to further lose his ****.
Story 2
One time I was in nascar caldera central, when I decided to flank from a ridge and snipe at the enemy in my Raven 3L. I then discovered that my position restricted me from pushing back to my team and provide ECM cover. Some Uterus face in a Mad Dog decided to inform me that my only role in the game is to give ECM to our team, I then informed him that I do what I want. Not because his argument was 100% invalid, but because I'll be damned if I let some fecal nozzle tell me what to do. He then TK'd me in the back.
Story 3
You know how you should probably push the center in Terra Therma? Well, big shock, one time the team didn't. All of a sudden, I see a player in the chat going full burn with his **** thrusters at a Highlander, that had the audacity of going past his stationary, useless, waste of space metal statue on the ramp and push into the center, blocking his holy line of fire that would've otherwise headshotted every enemy mech in one salvo. We did manage to win that round, which is pretty neat. Checking the leaderboard, I noticed that that player, judging by his loud mouth hole the most experienced vet of MWO to date, had a whopping 59 damage.
Story 4
This isn't a whining story, but I figured I should end on a positive note, also on Terra Therma. Yesterday all of our mechs went to **** except for a 37% Hellbringer with a few weapons left (piloted by some handsome ************ named Anattoly (and some numbers)) and my Ebon Jaguar which was at 26%, with only it's right side left - carrying two LBX5's with no more ammo. You see, I've spent all of my ammo when the Hellbringer pilot and me were ganking up on a timber wolf. I then proceeded to get all up on that TBR's face in order to protect our last useful mech, but somehow my noble sacrifice ended with that TBR getting killed and me still somehow surviving.
So now we're 8-10 and the game mode is Assault, what do we do? Time to cap the base of course. We somehow managed to trek across the entire map meeting only one other enemy mech (which I promptly ran away from, and I believe the HBR pilot did too as it was 8-10 afterwards still), met up at the base and captured it, winning the match with only 4 minutes left, and two mechs that were so beat up you could add their health together and still get barely over 50%.
One team mate ended the match on a poetic note, stating " gg ,I, "
~thank you for reading Signal's story time~

no, i don't know
there is no reason to do it
if it's skirmish you can fight anywhere and if they took the center you can wait for them leaving it to shoot them on the march
if it's assault you again can fight anywhere and if they went center you can go your whole team to their base
if it's conquest you can cap 4 points and let them lose to cap having that single center point

A massively multiplayer online game where they can ignore all the other players, never talking or playing with and do everything solo all the time then crying when others don't do that.
Game dev plz fix nao.
Just what in any god you care to think of's name is wrong with these people? Do they conduct their real life like that? I wonder if they behave like that at work, or in bar or maybe in a class or sport?
Makes me shudder to be honest.
Cant tell you how many matches today where I've been out front scouting and announce spot reports over the voip followed by a simple grid to intercept. Totally ignored in every way. OR heading back to cover afks only to have the guy (in a ******* dire moo of all things) to refuse to help cover when the enemy started turning the corner. Aggravating playing without the group

Or just upgrade your rig. If your machine is 4 years old, it should be running the game decently. My laptop is a potato. I know that. It's like 7 years old. That's not PGI's fault. I need to upgrade the rig.
There are listed machines on these forums that are available for under 500$ dollars. I'm saving up to upgrade my rig.
By all accounts, PGI has no obligations to cater to machines that are THAT old.
I built my rig for $500 iirc. Found a deal for an FX8350 with mobo at microcenter that was cheaper than the chip alone with 8 gigs and a (at the time) gtx 660 sc. Just keep watching for deals, they're out there

Also, Two new Hero Mechs (yay) but no fluff/lore write up about them? (boo). PGI I WANT nay NEED the immersion to go up to my eyeballs when I play MechWarrior, and for that you gotta gimme something, ANYTHING.
A "hero" Mech, by (my) definition is one piloted by a hero. Someone who customized their Mech's loadout and paint job to suit their piloting style and personal flair. Why does "Top Dog" have 9 laser hardpoints? Why is "Quarantine" painted acid green with bio-hazard symbols? INTEREST ME. IMMERSE ME. MAKE ME CARE. Please.
In fact here: Top Dog and Quarantine that took me an hour to write up both. No excuse PGI.
the write up on the on the Quarantine may make me buy one. and i don't own any others so i have to buy 3.Heck it is so good i think PGI should pay you 100 mc from every one sold.

I've only had one and my team defended base and stomped the other team who trickled in one or two mechs at a time, so I have only been on 1/4 of the map

I never understood this about MWO. PGI has a game set in a sci-fi universe richer fleshed out than just about anything barring Star Trek/Star Wars. Yet PGI works as if all that hardly exists (with the exception of mech names and designs, obviously). I think there are missed opportunities here.
I think they need to hire one person who can write fluff, and litter it all over the place in-game. Maybe that person could take writing proper guides as a side task.
I think there might be actual return for investment in this. Making the BT lore more visible could attract people who are sci-fi fans in general and love that sort of stuff, but are not BT nuts in particular and so don't know that stuff already.

If any PGI devs dare to tread in this forum I volunteer for this job, hell I'll work for MC

Honestly that was the first time I've ever been legit pissed off in MWO, all I said to him was that he has succeeded in me not giving anyone any ECM on purpose now and then I ****** off because even staring at that ******** name on the score board ran up my blood pressure.
..I did actually give ECM cover when it was appropriate afterwards though, because I didn't want to ruin other players' fun just because of one {Richard Cameron}.
But seriously, he:
-had the nerve of stating that he will teach me how to be a team player this way
-dared to not only shoot a team mate, but in the back
-ran a Mad Dog, which is a mech I adore and honestly would've rather stuck him in a Daboku
-put himself out of a close support position (in a mad dog which despite having a crap laser vomit build, did have some srm's) all the way to a ridge to whine at me uselessly, thus
-making himself a useless hypocrite as at least I was busy disarming a Cataphract while he
-did nothing
meh

It's why I think this game is buggered mate. The average MWO palyer is just too ignorant and self centered for a tactical game to be honest. Just look at the abuse Iraqi and TWAIFU got on the whine thread about CW....
Suggesting people don't solo and group up is like asking them to immolate their firstborn....

I'm trying to put more effort into this aspect of our write-ups, and over time you're going to see more of this. Just need to strengthen my BattleTech-fu a little more before getting into the more lore-dependent stuff.
