goddamn how can someone have fun in this game at this point at all.
i literally got nothing but brainless **** walkjg in my teams atm

That Crab i spent the first two minutes covering on caustic... Only for him to say he's going to defend the base and waddle all the way back and do nothing for the rest of the match lol.

The problem there is that it ends up making the heavier stuff slightly weaker while ******** all over lights and mediums.

wrong. the assaults and heavies can carry a lot more different weapons that are not much used BECAUSE laservomit is that far superior.
look at the highlander. mine all use ballistics, missiles and lasers and work totally fine.
such things can be done with almost all heavies and assaults. lots of players just dont use them because it requires alot more than just pressing 1 button.

fact is you HAVE to do something. and i dont care if all the laservomit fanboys cry about it. they should up their ezmode game.

You are misunderstanding what i said. If you blanket nerf lasers then it does more damage to lights, mediums, and tonnage limited mechs due to lasers being the only things they can use effectively.

You would have implement nerfs to heavies and assaults in regards to energy rather than just nerfing the weapon system.

i didnt misunderstood you. i totally understand that its a nerf to all laserheavy mechs in the upper class. is that a big thing? no. because its the only thing that is currently played. everything that has many laserslots. all other versions are gone to oblivion.

Lights and the lower tonnage mediums (on the Clan) side can't make use of ballistics anyway. Unless you want them to be completely worthless and run around with an ac2/lb2.

Like i said earlier wait for the rebalance that's coming. It could be good, it could suck but that's all that's on the horizon as far as balance goes.

wrong. lights could finally do what they should do. support, scout and flank instead of running around in between 4 mechs, damaging them all heavily while not beeign hit and run out again as if it would be the easiest thing.


kit foxes and adders wont have a problem with the change. they arent close range mechs anyway.

i dont think that uac2 are useless either. i use 3 of mine on my summoner and get some good results in it.

farther i use the panther 10p with 2 ac2 and get 300 to 600 damage.

so those lights are not useless, you jsut need to play them in their role.

Lol just had a bunch of idiots spectating and yelling at me in chat to get to centre, read the chat, get to centre etc etc. If they weren't blind they would have seen i was legged and unable to get there quickly.

Why would i play them in a role they aren't effective in at my elo bracket?

There's changes i would like to see in the game but until that time comes, i'm going to keep playing mechs in their optimal configuration for the game as it is.

With your suggestions you would see the light queue the lowest it's ever been. Besides if you don't like playing lasers, why not try the dakka whale out?

why would i play a dakka whale if i can use a mobile mech? why would you be ineffective in your elo bracket?
i dont like slow mechs at all, i just use my atlas in CW as ECM pusher.
literally all of my mechs are built around mobility and a variety of weapons instead of going meta. i might be in your elo bracket if i would use nothing but meta but i dont give a damn crap about it.
i would be bored all day.

i know i got a attitude that does not fit with competitive gameplay but i rather keep games interesting for myself, playing crap mechs and keep getting better in them instead of going ez mode.

the question is, how many of your elo bracket would play fine with the crap nonmeta? i know they would perform fine but would they stay in that bracket? no. they would not.


also, im sure that you can play lights very well in your elo bracket that are not firestarters or cheetahs.

Well that's the thing, if i take a Jenner, Spider, Lynx etc . They're gonna be running laser builds because those are the best builds for them. Adder and Fox i could run streaks or srms but that's a waste of time unless i get a team that pushes. Plus i don't like streaks anyway.

Besides all i'm doing atm is levelling Scats to master using 1 lpl + 2 meds. Hardly easy mode.

on the jenners im with you, got them myself but the D can use 2 srm 4 + small pulses easily and be effective with it.
spider with ppc and ecm same with myst lynx work good as scout/harasser.
no builds to do damage but too many people think this game is about damage. wrong. its about playing as team and win.
now i know you dont get much creds and exp for that but thats but they are good in.

adders do work well with ppc, lasers and even uac2's. seen it happening alot.
imho ssrms on adders and foxes are a waste, srms can work but med/small lasers or large lasers as long range support always work, maybe give them some energy quirks after the blanket laser energy nerf for those 2 chassis.

Just played three drops in group queue no wonder everyone complains about getting stomped by comp teams, Every unit another Lord and myself were paired with just nascar start to finish. Never turning around to fight. Teams that are 8 - 10 mans presumably all on coms that just all run off leave their assault lance to get massacred and continue nascaring until they are all dead.

That kinda play is expected in solo but group lol, my god this games playerbase on average are so ******* stupid.

Seriously WTF is wrong with this game when i play for an hour an half in a CN9-D and cannot kill a single thing and struggle to break 300 damage. Also getting one shotted way more than i ever have and the long range sniping is just utterly crap.

Then jump in a locust and hey presto, Kills! So in an hour and 45 roughly i got one kill and died in pretty much every match. The game want's me to uninstall.

It started with the introduction of the solo Q I think.
All it does is teach people to cower and run,they put their personal survival over anyone else's. They will stand and idle even if they can see it will lose them the match-because they don't want to die first.

that behaviour seems to be carried over to the group Q now. I've seen it with my own eyes, get a group together and when push comes to shove they do what they have trained to do: back up and be timid.

The single biggest flaw with MWO is the "do what I want", timid sheep herd.

Not really got anything to whine about, grouping more with a great bunch of people, I guess I'm enjoying the game a little more than normal
