Well I finally dragged the Shawk kicking and screaming up the hill and dug myself out of that -20 kills hole. Now it's the Victor *sigh*.

WTH is going on with the playstyle of people leveling maulers?? most hide in the back and die quickly...none seem to push with the group. and when I show up to help them, they turn and run away, leaving me to go 1 v 3 or 4 or 5 enemy...

That's what usually happens every game with nearly every assault/heavy to me. They regroup then let the lights find targets so they can leech from the back(and some will send you two gauss round in the back tking you then telling you to pay attention to which targets your teammates are sniping next time).

Not MWO related but I reopened my Twitter profile after a 5 year hiatus and reread some of the stuff I wrote...sweet merciful Jesus the cringe. I need a time machine so I can go back and punch myself in the head a few times.

Evidence the game has sunk to a lower level that even the once funny b33f cant resist. A bit extreme i know but thats all this game is now a snipe fest. Where are all the centurions, hunchbacks, streaktaros splat cats hell even wolverine srm trolls. All gone as you can't easily get close enough through the gauss, erll, ppc and lrm idiots taking up 75% of teams now. Shame on you b33f for encouraging these cowardly idiots.

Huh. I've been playing my Mauler lately, and I've got the completely opposite complaint. I find myself pushing all the time, and dying horribly because my so-called teammates who _were_ near me when I took the lead suddenly melt away into the distance like mirages in the desert heat, leaving my slow-ass assault mech to facetank the entire enemy team on its lonesome. I'm in a Mauler, People. If I comitt to a push then I'm not fast enough to change my bloody mind in mid-advance, unlike your Timberwolves and the like.

with all the players doing snipe fest online, it seems they have forgotten how to engage the up close and personal hunchback. with assault Q up i decided i should finish up my hunchies. having great fun sneaking around in the 4sp and back shooting red mechs and of curse the 2x6srm hug of death.

I usually stay out of their way with my ECM so that they can have LRM rained on'em. Besides, I don't want to get a gauss round to my back by providing idiots with ECM.

Dont you love these guys complaining about a LRM on a Atlas ((Perhaps i like the fair mount on it? It was on my K for a reason) and outdamage these two trash talkers alone in damage in a poormans Atlas-K.

I just love these sarcastic people who just puts lasers on a mech but then proceed to trash talk about my builds.

I managed to put in a 4 kill 700 damage game in a match where I was told no one in their right mind run a Victor. Granted it was a one off but still fun.

Well...hit reg appears to be absolutely crap again...

earlier...stationary locust...took 168 damage to its CT to kill it (of course...as I was shooting its CT...its leg was destroyed)

just now...150 damage to crit orange CT of a mauler before it died



Edit: as soon as I complain about hit reg not working...this happens...

Oh ye wise whiners, I seek your insight. If I were to go off the deep end and buy an assault mech, are any of the Heros worth owning? With the 50% sale this weekend I could actually afford one, but I am an uneducated noob when it comes to assaults.

best hero assault would propably be the Misery or Hellslinger. but it really depends on the assaults you already have.
dragonslayer is propably the best victor :S

See I am a little crazy, I have no assaults, so I am just thinking about getting into them. And I would probably be the next 3 months saving cbills for one...so cheap Heros sounded like a good plan. Dragonslayer and the Hellslinger were the two I was leaning toward, but I know a lot of people like the misery too.
