There's this issue that keeps bothering me after I save a particular load out with the Jagermech. When I mount two AC/2s and two AC/5s, they're arranged oppositely on each arm. This happens no matter what combination I do: put the AC/2s first, save, then put the AC/5s, or whatever order.
Anybody else get this? How do you fix it? Help. Thanks.

I'm just guessing, but if this behavior is similar to the way missile weapons get stuck with certain slot preferences, you might try selling ALL your loose AC2's and 5's then rebuying some for your jag and installing them exactly where you want them...
Provided you don't mind spending the cbills towards a solution that might not even work...

There is a work around for getting specific weapons to mount into specific locations. You have to buy the weapons and have them install.
To do that you need to NOT have any in your inventory. If you have to purchase the weapon when installing them and it ought to work.
I think you need to buy all of the weapons, so in this case don't have any AC-2's or AC-5's in stock.
Also, I suggest when you get rid of your excess weapons to then exit the game and restart it.
I've tried to do this myself, but I haven't had much luck with getting an SRM-6 and LRM-10 to sort properly. However, I haven't purchased both, so that is why I say ALL weapons need to be bought for your mech to have it work properly to sort in a location. Otherwise the game will put an existing weapon where you already had it before.

Putting some of the weapons on another mech, Then other AC2s and 5s on the mech may work.
It's worked for me.
For example, take the arm with the 2 on top and the 5 on the bottom, remove them, save the mech, find another mech, mount a 2 and a 5 and save the mech, then go back to the jager and put a different 2 and 5 on the mech.
I feel stupid having just said that; but it does sometimes work.

I tried the trick of buying both the LRM-10 and the SRM-6, but again I have the weapons swap location when I try to install them.
I may need to try something else, like buying them one at a time to see if that is what I need to fix it. I don't like the SRM-6 being the "big tube" on top of my Griffon's shoulder when that was supposed to be the LRM-10.
So far no luck, though.

SUCCESS!!
Ok, the trick is to buy the weapons brand new from the store, not use a weapon from your inventory.
However, the 2nd part you have to do is buy the weapons individually, then save, change to another mech, come back, and buy the next weapon to fit the 2nd slot.
Now I have a Griffon with the LRM up on the shoulder in the round pod like it belongs, and my SRM-6 is in the torso chest as an additional after market weapon like I want it to do.
To also hedge my bets I also had different weapons installed at first, in this case a pair of Streak SRM-2's
Then I removed both S-SRM-2's, bought an LRM-10, saved, changed to another mech, came back, and bought the SRM-6.

I think weapons get a unique number when bought that prioritize weapon placement.
Best way to fix it is place some weapons on an a different mech till you get an ac that has higher priority than the other one.
For example put all but one or two AC/2's on another mech and try fitting your mech again.

Great news! and good job figuring that all out!
