I came back to MWO yesterday.
I am leaving today.
This LRM bullshitcrapfuck is the same reason I left WoT, skilless idiots in long range indirect fire crutches killing skilled players without even doing anything more complex than clicking.

...and they will balance it, and you will be back later, complain more...leave...balance...come back later etc.

I'm still trying to figure out why people have trouble dealing with LRMs. They haven't been inescapable magical headshot generators for a LOOOONG time now (but that was a fun few weeks), and everything else is cover, maneuver, and position.
Step 1: Be invisible. They can't shoot you if they can't lock you.
Step 2a: Put something solid between the LRMs and you. Missiles generally no longer sail unhindered through buildings and hills, so this usually works. Bonus points if the thing you put between the LRMs and you is an enemy 'mech (Atlas pilots hate it when you do this).
Step 2b: If you are behind cover, and the LRMs hit you anyway, your cover is insufficient. Seek better cover.
Step 3: Move between salvoes. Most maps have cover clustered closely enough that you can move from one patch to the next in less time than it takes the next salvo of LRMS to reach you.
Step 4: Close to engage. Anything with enough LRM launchers to be a serious threat typically has very poor infighting capability. Hug cover while you close with it, then run up and punch it in the face.
Addendum: Things that will get you killed by LRMs include, but are not limited to: standing in the open while Gauss/PPC/AC2/AC5 sniping, poptarting behind a hill or other low cover, being unable reach cover in the time it takes the LRMs to travel from their launcher to your face. If you find yourself being killed by LRMs, take a moment to observe the conditions of your untimely demise. If it appears that one of these regrettable circumstances has befallen you, your 'mech may be too slow.
Postscript: Finally, I leave you to ponder a quote from my combat instructor, Sgt. Unther, from my rookie days with the Roughriders: "In real combat, speed is life. You go slow, you die."

No longer works, as by the time you become aware you're being shot at, the missles are already hitting you.

Only works if there are breaks in the salvos. Since the teams right now are filled with LRM-boats, we don't get salvos so much as continuous streams which result in death in a very few seconds.

Some mechs are not capable of going over 130kph, which is roughly the required speed for hopping cover to cover right now.

Your screen name pretty much says it all. I knew why this wound up in K Town before I ever even read the OP.
Maybe the idiots are the ones who can't figure out that a slight speed increase in LRMs isn't hard to counter. Just sayin...

By slight don't you mean massive?
And yes, it's hard to counter, It's just like the dark age of WoT, you can't poke your godamn head out to take a shot without fifty arty raining down clusterF*** on you.

yea it's hard to seek cover
take ams
take ecm
buddy up with a teammate
let other support mechs draw targeting attention before you try to close
I could go on but it's quite apparent over the past day that people would rather QQ about a slight speed boost to LRMs and how it's "ruining" the game than take friendly advice from players who have no problem adjusting to the new mechanic

Funny thing is, most of the people whining about the LRM change are the ones who whined about the PPC/AC meta a few months ago. Make up your minds, people!

It's just like every other patch
PGI changes something
mouth breathers claim it's ruining the game.
dies down to about 10 people or so after a week who will continue to whine about it until the next bandwagon comes along
