Sipder-5K on sale, cheaper then paint!



just saying.... I think it's great that mechs and other MC items go on sale, but should a mech be cheaper then paint?

I'm not one to post negative issues or rant and rave about stuff, but I think it's time to do an overall drop on paint cost.

Not gonna complain about the spider being that cheap, but I do agree that paint colors are a little steep. It's nice that they are usable across all mechs (unlike patterns), but they still feel about twice as expensive as they should be. I personally only ever buy colors when they are half off, and even then I have to psyche myself up to splurge on the "premium" colors.

Or even keep paint colors they way they are and add some more C-Bill colors.

I have a rule never to purchase mechs for MC that can be purchased with C-bills.

I buy MC when I feel the dev team has earned some money OR when I feel I have spent enough time playing that I should put some money towards the makers of the game I enjoy.

That said, I dont mind buying a regular mech for MC, if I have the MC around and my desire to mess around with the mech is stronger then my willpower to wait for it.
I must also admit, I have bought more then one at the 50% sale price. IMO, at 50% off, the price actually feels about right on some of them.

I have yet to buy a pattern. Those prices are not in line with the value you receive. At all. I have very few paints also, and only on sale. Fortunatly hot rod and pheonix colors came with my overlord purchase. Dear PGI: having a bunch of colors come with a clan package is a nice incentive vs cockpit items and banners and whatever. People notice a paint job more often(by 10000%) then a cockpit item.

Didn't you know, you can always get Spider-5Ks from gumball machines, 25 cents and a 50/50 chance, other times you get a Locust-1V. Wait for THAT to go on sale.

I do need to consider mastering another Spider, but unsure if I want to waste my free ex-Centurion Mech Bay no matter the low low price :/

If you buy a clan package before June you get 3 colors, orange, green, and a black like the prime variant colors.

I have elited all spiders except 1, the dreaded 5V. If there are any good 5V pilots who wouldn't mind teaching me or running with me on a 5V I would appreciate it.

back on topic..... get the 5K or the 5K(c). I love mine.

Yeah, the 5K is actually a great little SOB. It's a lot of fun for blowing off steam and just screwing around in general. And late in the game those MGs really pay for themselves.

I do not have any issues with the spider or the one that is on sale. My point was that you can buy a mech (a good mech at that) for 1\2 the price of most of the paint colors in the game. I think they would make more money by lowering the price of all MC colors by at least 1\2. The difference in the pricing would be made up by more people willing to buy at the lower cost.
