I wanted to ask this before I got my pack,
If I get the Catapult, will I be able to convert it into the K-2 variant with the PPC's?
That was always my favorite, and I'd like to know if I can make that awesome founders Cat into it in the game.
Otherwise I think I will go with the Atlas.
Thanks

A question regarding founders mechs for the devs

Not directly, no. According to the devs, you can try swapping the torso lasers for a PPC. You'd probably have to ditch or sub the LRMs. You'd have to twink around with the build to see if you could work it. Even if you did, it would probably have heat issues and the PPCs would be in the torso instead of the arms, but you could conceivably have a founders catapult with PPCs.
But the CPLT-K2 is a different chassis from the CPLT-C1. So if you want exactly that, then no.

Since the hardpoints should allow PPCs (or any energy weapons, up to at least 4 of them) in the torso section it may actually be sneakier to go with the Founders variant and then change it to use those. Folks will look at your mech visually and expect the traditional LRMs, or maybe a SRM variant, only to be surprised with heavy energy weapons!
